ETA Post-surgery update: My baby had her surgery and I am SO HAPPY I bought this! Super easy to use! She definitely would have been licking/chewing herself if this wasn't on. Also, at the time of surgery, she was 24.5 pounds and the large size is absolutely perfect. Not tight, not too loose, and she can freely move around. Added pictures of my pup for reference! :)My 4-month-old Bordoodle is scheduled for her spay next month and as a worried mama, I am trying to prep so things go smoothly. I have owned dogs my entire life, we have spayed and neutered all our dogs and this is the first time I am buying a product like this. So why did I buy it? Glad you asked. :) Well, any dog owner who has attempted to use the cone of shame (on thier dog...lol) knows that most dogs HATE it. Old school cones are cheaper, but they are hard plastic and energetic dogs will bump into your furniture/walls. Clunky, loud and not fun to hear at 3AM. Soft cones are better, but they cost more, some dogs don't like them and some dogs can remove it (yes, it happens). On top of that, cones can't be comfortable and let's face it, after a surgery, wouldn't you like your fur baby to be as comfortable as possible? Me too. So, enter this little beauty. It is soft, easy to put on and yes, your dog can go potty without completely removing it. Simply rip velcro on both sides and move it inside dogs legs. Reattach velcro so material is out of the way. Let dog potty and reverse the process to put it back on. Easy peasy!My pup is 20 pounds and the large fits perfect with enough room that she's comfortable, but can't lick herself. I'm positive she could wear the large even if she was 25 pounds and still be comfortable. The velcro is strong. My only worry would be durabilty (with me pulling the strong velcro on and off several times a day, will it rip?). I will update this review if anything negative happens, but right now, this item is so worth the money.I thought about being cheap and making my own from a baby onsie. Two problems with this...one, I think baby onsies won't fit as well on a dog (possible spoiler alert: dogs don't move like human babies...lol) and two, I remembered I don't sew. By the time I got all the materials, it wouldn't be worth the saving of a few bucks and the product would not be as effective (oh, and did I meantion I don't sew?)Thinking of buying a second one so I can wash one and still have one on my pup. Plus, she loves water and will plop herself IN water bowls if given a chance so I think an extra may be a good idea.I will update after surgery if anything changes.Click "helpful" if this review helped you. Our one year old Golden Retriever was just neutered and the cone of shame was a disaster. At first he was “paralyzed” whenever we put it on. But, by day two the cone was more like a weapon, as he knocked into everything in sight trotting throughout the house. Yet you couldn’t trust him for 30 seconds sans cone before he was trying desperately to lick his darn stitches.So far, so good with this handy little suit! He hasn’t even attempted to go at his stitches yet, but it definitely has improved his demeanor since he can now move freely without bouncing his cone off of the furniture or walls.Completely agree with other reviewers that the sizing runs small. For reference, our pup is 70lbs and we purchased the 2XL. Definitely couldn’t have gone any smaller. There is plenty of room in the chest and belly area (which is good since I wouldn’t want the fabric rubbing on his stitches) but not a lot of wiggle room in the length. Cotton has a bit of stretch to it though, so if it doesn’t go in the dryer we should make it through the next 10 days. Fingers crossed!

Love everything about this recovery suit, especially the velcro options of having it fully on or having the back end exposed for pottying. My little girl got spayed yesterday ... this is perfect to keep her from licking the incision and it's much better than the cone of shame.

Nice, well made design. The velcro is nicer than expected, its the quieter type. The suit fits her wonderfully (after I returned the first one for a smaller size) and works great for post spay recovery so she doesn't have to stay in a cone. However she was able to roll around when I wasn't watching her and she slipped out the stretchy neck hole, but she has problems with all shirt neck holes fitting her body shape to begin with.If you're curious as to what size she fits, in case it may help you choose the right size, her neck circumferencerce is 11in, chest girth is 13in, body length is 17in, and she weighs 10 lbs. She fits into the size Small perfectly. {She has a long back since she is part skye terrier, so I originally ordered the medium to size up per the sizing chart and other reviews, but it was too large! The small fits her back length great. }

This worked great for our 22lb pup when she got fixed. She is long, so I ordered a size up. It does stretch out a little, but definitely kept her from messing with her stitches and healing. It also seemed to keep her from running around and being wild while healing. It’s soft, never left any rubbing marks. Easy to take on and off.

I am so disappointed!!! This deserves NO STARS!!!I was looking forward to using this suit on my dog since his ecollar he has to wear really bothers him and is uncomfortable. The suit was delivered a few minutes ago and it’s obviously been used and is dirty gross! It has long and dark dog hair all over it as well as urine tracks from another dog wearing it previously. I WAS SENT A USED AND DIRTY PRODUCT THAT WAS BEING SOLD AS NEW! Two thumbs way down! Don’t buy from this seller!
