The HDD usually makes some noise while reading, nothing too serious.
The device is very beautiful, its aluminum body gives a special detail to the product, comes with an external power supply with an excellent cable length and also comes with USB-C and USB-A cables, to be used depending on the type of connection that your computer accepts. Large storage capacity for its size, it has few air vents for ventilation, and the aluminum body sometimes gets a little warm, but I believe the aluminum body itself already serves as a kind of heat sink. The HDD usually makes some noise while reading, nothing too serious, but it's not silent like other models found on the market.

Perfect for data storage and back up!
Formatting this to exFAT gives you the perfect solution for cross-platform data storage. The 18TB is currently the largest capacity for this drive size.Very stable and currently no failure.

enclosure fried and destroyed the drive after 2 years
enclosure fried after 2 years, removed the drive and it would not spin up, the data was unrecoverable.

Don’t buy it, you will regret it.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. Bought this 18T drive to combine all our smaller drives so we could have all our files in one. We moved about 9T onto this drive from 4 smaller drives. Worked great for about 4 months, the took a dump. Would not come up and could not access at all. Tried everything and had a IT guy try everything. Ended up having to send it off to get all the files recovered at a cost of about $7000. What a joke. Don’t buy.
