After using the cheap fisher price Thomas track, I was super surprised that any wooden track could be this great. On the Thomas track the trains would always fall off where the tracks joined each other and the extra plastic pieces (bridge and car crossing) were impossible to pass with the trains.I knew this was a good quality track, but I was still extremely surprised (and delighted) to find just how good quality wooden tracks could be. This set feels like a particularly good value. We were able to make a fairly large double loop with some extra pieces left over.I particularly liked that I was able to find a starter pack of so much track without trains and other plastic “extras” included. This has everything you need track-wise to get started and do a little bit of everything (splits, bumpers, double sided, double ended).After ordering this, I’ve added a bunch more brio to my son’s wishlist for birthdays/Christmas. I’m so impressed by brio I’m sold on only buying from now on.

I purchased this track pack as a Christmas gift for our four year old grandson. It, as well as some other Brio accessories, were meant to enhance the already large train set-up he already has at his own home. I wondered what he would do here for a week while he waited to set these new sets up there.My worries were needless. There were enough pieces and options in this set to keep him very happy the entire duration of his visit. He could make a variety of layouts that included dips, bridges, bends or complete stops, and the other accessories only added to his wild imagination.I highly recommend this set as a starter, or as I intended, a great addition to an already existing train set. His extensive layout is primarily Brio—they’re consistently better quality, and this track pack is no exception. My grandson is on his way home now, and has already expressed enthusiasm about incorporating his new pieces with old. I love seeing the thrill these toys bring to him.

Fun train set for kids!

My son loves this wooden train. We needed to get more and choose these. It has 2 ramps for bridges. This was a fun new way to explore his train building skills. Honestly I wish there more ramp pieces.Pricing is expensive in my opinion but I suppose your paying for the brand name. We’ve gotten a set also from ikea, which was much cheaper but did not have to bridge pieces.

Great assortment of high quality tracks. All the pieces were cut nicely and fit together properly. The track finish is a little on the rough side, but consistent with the other Brio sets we have. There are two different types of curves, each with enough to make a full circle. As far as straight tracks go, there are 4 of each type of straight track. In addition to that there are a couple of adapter pieces, two buffers, ramps, some elevated track pieces, and two switch tracks. This set, plus some wagons and an engine, is more than enough to make a train set with variety. It's even better coupled with an existing set or two.
