So far, so good! I'm using two of these 1 meter strips in a small greenhouse to keep my succulents alive through the winter. I wanted to keep it as streamlined as possible, so I'm running both strips off of one power supply (12v 2A) in parallel. Originally I wasn't sure what the power draw was per 1 meter strip until I did a bit of digging. This is what I found...1x LED= 0.2w0.2(60 LEDs in meter)/12v = 1AThe 12v 2A power supply works with two of these 1 meter strips, but it is at max load. It works, but a 12v 2.5A or 3A will run cooler (and probably for longer).The seller says the power supply shipped with this unit will run both LED strips simultaneously, and I haven't seen any real issues yet. But the transformer does get hotter than I'd like. So I went ahead and ordered another switching power supply rated at 12v 3A just for piece of mind since these will be on during the day while nobody is home. Personally, I feel that shelling out an extra $9.99 for a higher rated power supply is worth the added leeway.

The light itself is good but I bought it to be mounted under my cabinets, with plants sitting on the counter top. First i started with pealing the paper off the back of the light. As soon as the light warmed up the light fell down. So I tried the additional sticky strips that came in the box. The same thing happened - the adhesive on the light won't stick once it's warm (and now I have black sticky tape on my cabinet). I finally wound up using Command clips and that has worked well.So, bottom line is that the light is good but don't rely on the sticky tape to hold it in place.

The buyer should know that this "tape style" lighting has an adhesive backing, which is meant to be peeled back and applied to the surface of whatever one wishes to attach. However, the adhesive is very poor quality and was falling down 20 minutes after I installed mine. They do include a few 3M adhesive patches but these do not cover the entire tape surface. They also include plastic zip ties if you don't mind seeing them. I was looking for a hidden installation in my dining room that was not visible. At any rate, I will now try hot glue in an attempt to attach the tape to my shelves. The lights are working well but there is no timer. I would recommend these lights to anyone who doesn't mind exercising a little creativity to get them to stay in place once installed.

Well packaged and easy to install. My plants wer dying due to lack of sunlight as you can see in my picture, so I got this strip hopefully it works!!

Item arrived in great condition on anticipated date. So far I'm happy with my purchase. I'm a novice to growing anything and actually have been called a serial plant killer. I've been interested in starting a indoor herb garden, and starting from seeds. I'm starting to see growth in my seedlings from all plants! Plan on getting a stronger or additional lights for when plants mature, but so far so good!

Last December I was desperate: two of my plants looked like they were about to die. Both were rare, and I knew I won’t find them for an affordable price. I bought one of these, placed it across the window, and set my plants on a table 1-2 feet away from this strip of light. I also set a timed power source to have the light on for 12-13 hours per day. Soon after that my plants started to sprout new leaves and branches, and turned into healthy small bushes by spring. True, the strip gets warm after 3-4 hours, and tends to fall off at least once or twice per week. I solved this by using additional adhesive to keep it in place. It hasn’t fallen since. Just an FYI: the light strip includes sequence of 3 repeating colors, white, red and blue. The light looks purple from distance. It’s not that bright, and definitely not blinding. Im buying 3 light strips more now, since my plants grew huge through the summer, and I’ll have to place them by two windows this winter. I plan on placing the light strips vertically on each side of the tall windows I have, so they will be less visible.

This light is the perfect length for the window my herbs are in, it is a north facing window and my herbs were not doing so great. I decided to buy a grow light and originally I purchased a clip light with two adjustable arms but could not figure out where to clip it or how to adjust it for my herbs. THIS WAS PERFECT! I stuck this light on the bottom of my blinds! It did fall off with just the adhesive used to hold it up but they also provided white zip ties so I used one on each end and viola perfect grow light and not unsightly either! Extremely happy with my purchase, highly recommend!

I love these lights. I've ordered 6 of them now. They need to be pretty close to the plants. They have red and blue lights as described. More on the red, less on the blue. 3: red to 1 blue.I purchased the first two about 8+ months ago. Only one of those started to blink recently and I believe it was due to my plug being faulty.I did notice upon purchasing the newer that they were much brighter than the older and my plants were growing better under the newer lights than the older ones were. I raise succulents, I haven 't had the lights burn any of them. They don't give off any heat.Though I believe I will go with full spectrum the next time as these while bringing forth buds and a little growth, aren't bringing forth the beautiful colors my succulents should have. They are nice for greening though. My Lucky bamboo love them more than the window sill.
