This is a quality amp for both acoustic and clean hollow body jazz guitars. It can handle most of small club gigs in the city and I love the high end feel of it. I have had it for 8 years and it is a very reliable work horse. The weight should be another factor if you need a light weight, but loud amp. Just put it inside the included gig bag and carry it on your shoulder to your gig. The amp's head room and volume depends a lot on where you place it during a show, so each room has it's own factors so some take a bit of experimenting.,. I like mine on the floor and far enough from me so I can hear a good bass response as well. It has a unique eq system as the bass knob adds both volume and a darker tone. while I do appreciate this concept by the designer, I rather use the effect loop for an EQ pedal, which also gives me more access to shaping my sound, as the control knobs are on the back of the unit. The DI out is great for recording as well as big shows.Overall-great value!

Unbelievable amp. I got this for my Martin D-35 E which is a bright, clear beautiful sounding guitar. This amp takes the wonderful sound of that guitar and makes it louder. You can set it to add no color to your tone at all, or you can dial in any tones you'd like. Power? Oh, My!!!! Quality...like I've never seen before. I also own the Phil Jones Bass double 4, which is what led me to this. They make the most incredible amps I have ever played.If you can afford their products, you cannot get any better.
