This was very, very strong and doesn't exactly smell like the sweet basil I know. I was using it is in atomizer. The smell was so strong several co-workers complained and I had to turn it off.

Basil oil has been on my list of oils to try for a while now and I finally did it.The oil arrived smelling really strong of what I thought at first was fennel. I opened the package and the bottle's label was damp and oily and the cap looked as though it wasn't screwed on properly. The seal wasn't broken so it its still a new bottle. I think there may have been a mishap in the factory. The cap will not screw on right, it always looks uneven. Hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement cap.Once I did get past the cap issue i no longer smelled just fennel...it smelled like a mix of root beer and black licorice(fennel). I didn't really want that smell in a diffuser so i made a cleaner with it and mixed it with tea tree oil. Smelled much better than store bought bleach filled cleaners and I felt good knowing we're not breathing in chemicals.I like the tip for use on the back of the bottle, I can't wait to try it!!I recieved this item at a discounted rate in return for my honest and unbiased review.

I love essential oils. I have so many of them. One that I hadn't purchased yet was The Organic Basil Oil - 15ml. Aromatherapy Essential Oil. USDA Certified Organic. 100% Pure, Original and All Natural. Ayurveda Grade, Sold by: Glory Organics Health Food Store. The oil is in a dark brown bottle to help preserve it. When I opened it, I was very pleased. It smells really good. There are so many uses for this oil. It works well for sore muscles and joints, it is a a cooling agent for the skin, promotes mental alertness and lessens anxious feelings and it helps you breathe easier. There are many more useful thing this oil is used for. My favorite is soap making. I haven't made soap for my kitchen in a long time. I thought the smell of basil mixed with some rosemary would be great. I am very happy with this product and look forward to purchasing this brand again in the near future! This is a 15 ml dark brown glass bottle with an attached dropper top that allows one drop at a time slowly when held at a 45 degree angle upside down.Basil is a very versatile essential oil. It can be used topically to help with skin conditions as well as used as a topical pain reliever/sore muscle reliever. It's also known to help alleviate stress when diffused in the air or worn in a diffuser necklace.This oil has a very pleasant woodsy/herb scent to it in my opinion. I think it could probably work pretty well in a men's beard oil or cologne type spray in addition to the aforementioned uses as it certainly exudes an outdoor scent/aroma.Basil is one of the oils on the avoid list when pregnant so unfortunately I cannot comment to its effectiveness when applied topically or diffused at this time but I certainly look forward to being able to utilize it in the near future.Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

This basil essential oil is a great addition to my essential oil collection. Panned by some as sugar water, snake oil or only a placebo, I can attest that Essential Oils are no farce.
