Durham Available Donald Co Lb WTR 168 Wood Putty, White

Durham's water putty has been around for a LONG time and is great as a wood filler. I rarely need wood filler, and the most recent need led me to Walmart and Amazon looking for wood filler products. I was shocked at the price of other filler products and then ran across Durham's water putty. I forgot about this product (my Dad sold this in his hardware store for decades before he retired) until running across it here on Amazon. Its a superior wood filler and even though you do have to mix it first, the fact that it doesn't shrink and is more solid than other wood filler brands makes it worth the extra effort...and its much cheaper by filler volume.

This is a good product. Just remember when adding the water to add VERY little. I suggest using an eye dropper to put the water in the first time you mix it.Durham's Water Putty does dry very quickly and very hard. Still, one can sand it without a lot of trouble. It goes on a yellowish color and dries about the same color as plywood (the cheap kind of plywood). It also seems to stick in the holes quite well.It works well and you can store it forever as long as the top is on tight.AD2

This stuff is tried and true! My family has been using Durham Water Putty since early in the 1900's. My grandfather was a carpenter, who told my father about it, who showed me how to use it. Now that I am refinishing furniture, it is what I turn to fix damaged verneer.
