Perfect!!
Replacing the stock visor (V.1) was straightforward and easy to install. Much more comfortable and sanitary than the original visor that originally came with the G2. FOV was noticeably increased by using the "Standard" insert. Also, it took just a day to arrive after ordering! This is an excellent alternative to the original G2 visor. I HIGHLY recommend the product and merchant.

Pretty good
I bought this to improve the field of view, and I don’t think it really did. It seems about the same. BUT it’s more comfortable and easier to clean than the stock one. I used to sweat during beat saber and stuff (still do) and the face mask would get kinda soggy (super gross especially if you’re sharing the headset with other people). This one doesn’t get soggy and you can easily wipe off the sweat before you pass it to another person. I didn’t notice a big increase in FOV so I was a little bummed, but it is very comfortable and feels a lot more sanitary than the original one, so I would recommend it to others. (Also, it gets hotter than the cloth one that comes with the G2. So I get sweatier ((even my wife gets sweaty faced with it and she’s a small girl who doesn’t sweat much)) than I did with the original but it’s easy to clean so it’s not a problem)

This thing is perfect in every way.
-the foam padding is easy to insert and take out-all pieces are easy to take apart and wash and perfect for when you play workout games or it's just too hot-two different pads of different thicknesses from the original so that gives you three options-easy to swap out for VR parties as people pass the headset around-wider FOV-material feels sturdy, Velcro is good quality, the foam keeps its shape even after abuse-no light leaking in from anywhere-very reasonable price, I'd have expected this quality for twice as much.I have no negatives so far. Everything is just what I needed.

Why negative reviews mine is perfect
This product is very comfortable and you will notice a FOV increase, soon as I put it on, I noticed the difference right away, this fits my hp reverb g2 I don't know about the reverb g2 V2, you won't be disappointed at all the foam part feels like leather and it comes very well packaged, and it easy to install, at first when I swaped out the cover, the strap that goes on top was in the way so make sure its not in the way, otherwise it won't snap into place, I thought mine wasn't compatible but it is

your mileage may vary. most people like them though
so, my situation is pretty specific so i don't think the main complaint will apply to most people, but i got prescription inserts for my headset, specifically widmo vr inserts. due to the shape of my face and my eyebrow area, it causes the edges of the prescriptions to jam into the undersides of my eyebrows/tops of my eye sockets if the headset isn't in just the right position. i thought it was a nuisance with the stock facial interface, but man, the stock insert works great compared to the standard vr cover foam replacement. the vr cover ones are just too soft and they don't have the firmness required to keep the headset at the right distance i set it away from my eyes to keep the prescriptions from rubbing against my skin. it would shift around constantly and even if i got it feeling ok, a couple minutes later i would feel the prescriptions poking into my skin. after my experience with this replacement foam, i now appreciate how well the original stock foam works by comparison.another issue that is separate from that is that, while yes these don't absorb oils and sweat from your skin and can be more easily cleaned, an issue that comes with the design is that it is not breathable at all. i found that when i was using this new foam, my eyes seemed to get tired noticeably faster than with the original. this could be because of the previously described problem, but i think it could also be because it traps the same air inside of the headset where your eyes are, perhaps it makes that area warmer, and also a key component to your eyes staying healthy and comfortable is that they need oxygen touching them. this is why your eyes can feel tired if you wear some types of contact lenses for too long, like if you wear the same pair for several days in a row without taking them out, it's because your eyeballs are actually being deprived of oxygen which they need to feel normal. i have no idea if this is actually happening here, i'm not a scientist so i don't know, but it's one of the only explanations that i can think of.these are widely beloved and most people seem to love them so i guess, if you don't have the same problems i do with prescription inserts rubbing against your skin if the headset is in the wrong position on your face with the stock interface then these will probably work fine. as of writing this review it has free returns so you probably have nothing to lose to order them and see if they work, which they probably will work for you since the overwhelming majority of people are happy with them.one nice thing i can say about them is that if you have long hair, it will keep your hair from getting into the interface and annoying you. the stock interface doesn't make the kind of seal that these do and it lets your hair creep into your eye area and tickle your skin and annoy you. with these though it made a really nice seal and i never experienced that, so if you have long hair and this is something that happens to you then these should fix that for you.i might try ordering a silicone cover for the stock interface to see how that is. i think that's my only other option at this point for keeping the stock fabric foam from getting gross and smelly eventually

Far more comfortable than stock, works with prescription inserts, slightly better FOV
I flight a lot in VR sims. I was surprised just how much more comfortable it is. The original interface didn't fit me well, sort of dug into my face. With the VR covers, I barely feel the headset. Somehow it feels lighter. The FOV seems a little better and sweet spot is noticeably improved, partly because my eyes are a little closer to the lens and I can adjust the headset a little tighter to keep it in place.Another benefit is that I can still swap in the old interface when friends come over for them to use. Totally worth the price.
