UPDATE: Yes, it is Silver.First off, don't expect to pay $100 or less and make $5,000. Think of the difference between probable and possible. Yes, it's totally possible to find a monster.That being said, HOLY COW!! We pulled out 20 nice pickers, 2 small nuggets, lots of flakes and 5 pieces of what i believe to be silver (?) that will be tested. I was NOT expecting that!! It us beautiful whatever it is, all branchy!Awesome training bag! I panned it 3 x and didn't miss a single piece, so they're big enough to easily see on the first go. Plenty of black sand, well classified.Also found several small garnets and one tiny piece of jade (?).Bag was a lot of fun and was great for practicing my skills with guaranteed results.Thank you!!

Very Dusty paydirt, This bag will make you change your water a couple of times so that you don't miss anything. The dirt looked like what you would find on a gravel driveway but panning it was fun. When panning it I was thinking I wouldn't get much but I was finding good size flakes here and there. I am new to this but out of all the bags I have done so far this was the most exciting. I haven't weighed up all the gold (Still have some sitting in my snuffer bottle) but the ones I did weigh (Pickers and bigger flakes) the scale was 0.43g. I also did find in the bag what I believe is a diamond and a good size nugget of a silver color (What it is I don't know but I will be getting testing kit to find out, I am assuming silver though). Over all fun dirt to pan and exciting things to find other than gold.

For the money this was a great value. The dirt is a murky rusty brown color after water is added found a few quartz some shales and minimal black sands so my guess is this came from a mine vs a river. However gold content was great and mostly bigger pieces with a few flours. I prospect a lot and ordered this on a rainy day and was pleased with the results. Most of the material and least 75% was under 1/8th inch and the rest greater than 1/2 inch. Approximate about half a gram I didn't weigh it as it all just goes in a jar I have been saving with gold from various states. But it was fun not exactly challenging but I pan on as weekly basis so ..

I was hoping to find a little gold ✨ but what I got was not worth the effort that I put in to it I have planned for gold on my own land and I got more there than I got in the three 3lbs of mothherlode gold it was a waste of my time and effort

I specifically bought this to try after reading some of the negative reviews. Yes this product is not the most gold for the money but I have gotten others far worse. Including one of the other suppliers sold here on Amazon which was twice as bad if you consider $cost per gram. But then, I cant understand why people think they are going to get rich buying paydirt. Your not. Your are purchasing the opportunity to experience panning in the comfort of your own home. Because there are a lot of people who don't live in gold producing areas, they can do this without the expense of traveling for hours, accommodations and equipment only to end up with less gold than they would have gotten from purchasing a bag of paydirt at a fraction of what it cost them for their weekend trip. What I liked about this product is beside a few pickers, it had very very very fine gold and someone wanting to practice and hone their panning skills this one is great. I panned it a second time and found gold I missed the first time.

This is hands down the best dirt your going to find on Amazon. Ive bought a couple different bags from Mikesgoldpaydirt and never been disappointed. Im really impressed with the size and different sizes of gold from nuggets to flakes to fines. On top of that there is silver and possibly some platinum, as well as great and shiny ore rocks mixed in. Obviously great and rich ground this comes from. Some of the pickers are clearly sprinkled in but its always fun and solid value for practice and fun when you cant shoot up to the hills or arent around any gold bearing spots. This is the stuff to buy. I took some pics and ill update soon as i transfer them. Thanks Mikes for the great products.

So I recovered 0.41 grams of gold from this, consisting of maybe a dozen good sized flakes and then maybe another 4-5 much smaller pieces. As other people have noted there's a ton of dirt in this and you'll want to read up on some techniques on how to deal with it (you might want to pour the initial dirty water into a different container than you're doing most of the panning in, because otherwise it'll get so cloudy that you won't be able to see what you're doing.So basically if you just want some dirt to practice with, this will work. Don't expect it to contain any more gold than a similarly priced one pound bag. This being a 3 pound bag means more panning but finding gold less often which is kind of a mixed deal enjoyment-wise. Don't expect to make money on this, that's not the intent at all. And again, there's a lot of muddy material in here that you have to get rid of somehow without losing the gold and without contaminating your panning water so much you can't see what you're doing.Update: Dinged another star after the seller left their rant below.

Very little black sand and iron so it was easy to pan larger amounts. Ran material through the classifiers and was pleasantly surprised to see quite a bit of color in each screen. Lots of fun :)
