Bought this to use with my MXL VG67 microphone.Quality: All-metal construction, it feels like painted aluminum. The turnkey and the threaded end appear to be of the same material. It holds the angle settings quite firmly.Compatibility: It easily screwed onto an existing boom stand I had laying around. It took a firm grip, but I was able to insert my MXL VG67 microphone into it. The cable around the fixture provides some flexibility, but is sturdy enough to hold the microphone without leaning or sagging. I live in an apartment complex with neighbors below, and none of the noise from their AC unit reverberates through the stand into the mic. The mic is entirely suspended by the cable and makes no contact with the metal frame.Overall, would buy again.

The Symphaudio MSM-4B Shock Mount is exactly what I needed. I was looking for a universal mount that would fit a few different microphones I use while at my desk or on the road. The mount has a adjustable clamp that can be opened up to fit a variety of sizes. I was able to fit my usb condenser microphone as well as my AKG xlr based mic.The look is great and I chose black out of the colors Symphaudio offers, I could see myself getting another one to match my boom and mic setup in the larger studio. The metal finish seems to be sturdy, while the material that hugs the microphone is soft enough for me to not get nervous about scratching my mic up. The adjustment to lock the mount in place allowed me to set it up in multiple angles.While recording with the shock mount, I noticed no noise and in my testing using a flexible stand neck, I notice no noise while making small adjustments. Its safe to say that the mount fits the bill for what I needed. Looking forward to not being stuck switching mounts or carrying the mounts that came with each of the mics I own while on the road.I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Good product and quick delivery.

I am a musician and have been looking for a shock mount for my condenser mic for some time now. I have been doing quite a bit of in house recording and want to keep it as high level as possible. I thought this might help do the trick. Out of the box I was impressed with the quality of this product. It is a solid design and the mic holder seemed to have a snug fit which is great. The base that attaches to the microphone stand also seemed quite substantial. It was easy to unpack and I couldn't wait to get to use it.I used the shock mount with my condenser AT2020 microphone in my music studio. I was able to easily position the mount in front of an amplifier without worry that the microphone would drop out. Installing the microphone in the shock mount wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. The clamping mechanism does not extend open far enough without extreme pressure using two hands in order to just insert the microphone. However, once installed, I felt very secure with the shock mount and found no residual vibration while recording (which is the sign of a good product!) Overall, it's a good piece of recording equipment and it was manageable after working to get the microphone inside the shock mount. It is also at a good price point which will help many home studio musicians garner all of the equipment that they need to outfit a good at home studio.
