Fritz Lang's Metropolis: Cinematic Visions of Technology and Fear

An excellent scholarly discourse on German film industry, German expressionism in general, and Fritz Lang's work and place in this movement.Highly recommended for film scholars and fans of Lang's work who wish to dig deeper into the subject. Probably not the best book for the casual fan, as it is written more like a thesis or dissertation than a popular work on the subject.
