Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector & Dark Spot Overnight Peel, 2 pc, 3.3 fl oz

I liked the dark spot correcting lotion, which I had used an off-brand of a while back (but was the exact same formula). I decided to try this system because my skin seems to be aging rather prematurely and I recently had the worst breakout of my life which left me with many small red scars on my face. I wanted to see if the dark spot correction system would have a good effect on lightening them.Long story short, no. It did not. First couple of weeks left my face extremely dry and flaking around the corners of my mouth. The labels said this would happen but also mentioned that it's to help with exfoliation, to renew skin faster. I kept using it because it said. It could take the about 8 weeks to see results. After about 4 or 5 weeks, I did notice a change in my skin, but it wasn't positive. I woke up one morning looking like I was in my late 40s (I'm only 27) after not having used the lotion for one day. My guess is that while it does moisturize well in the moment, it really just ends up drying your skin like crazy because of all the alcohols in it. And, according to what I've read, drying your skin too much with alcohols l can actually inhibit healing. In other words, this stuff makes acne scars less likely to fade.I ditched this system and the other harsh acne washes I was using and just switched back to the Dr. Bronners soap I was using (which has not caused one breakout since I switched) and Naked Bee face lotion. I actually have less noticeable wrinkles now and even when I skip a day I don't wake up looking like I'm 40.Please note that not everyone's skin is the same and this may work for you where it hasn't worked for me. It all depends on how your skin reacts to the ingredients. Personally, I have very thin, sensitive and combo dry/patchy skin which does not react well to drying agents. I need more natural, gentle ingredients. Someone who gets totally oily may benefit from this system, so I'm not totally discounting this product. Just didn't work for me. Seller is good and shipping was good.

I'm very light skinned (of Irish descent) and live in Florida. At 34 years old I already have numerous noticeable sun spots on my face despite the fact that I apply 70 SPF to my face, neck, and collar bone/chest area EVERY SINGLE day before applying make up that has yet more sun screen in it. It makes me absolutely crazy because 3-4 years ago I had near perfect skin and I've put in the effort to take care of it. When they first started appearing I even saw the dermatologist for correction/ advice. She told me there was nothing they could do and use OTC fade cream which didn't work for me.I stumbled upon this product while shopping for something else and it was different so I checked it out. After reading the rave reviews I decided to give this product a try. Needless to say, I didn't have high hopes for this product considering none of the others had worked on my sun spots or other dark spots.I literally received this product yesterday. I applied the dark spot corrector when I received it and again before bed. I also applied the peel before bed and the dark spot corrector again this morning before applying my sunscreen and make up. After washing my make up off this evening I was stunned to see that some of my spots have already improved.I've had a reddish brown spot on my cheek bone below the left eye that I have no idea where it came from or what caused it. Since I have a horrible sun spot in the same spot on the right side I assumed it was a sun spot tho it didn't look exactly the same. I also have a few small scars. The reddish brown spot on the left cheek has improved already by at least 50%. That spot has been annoying me a for years now and I'm thrilled it's dramatically improved - literally overnight! And overall my face is already more even toned and more radiant. At this rate I can't wait to see the results after a couple months. Garnier I've never been a fan of your products, but now I'm a believer.

I'm totally shocked that this is working. I got pregnancy mask pretty bad with my son but I've been hesitant to buy product. I have good skin and I don't use any product except sunblock. I hate putting creams on my face because my skin tends to be oily and I just end up feeling greasy. But THESE, wow! I have to say that they are light and don't leave me feeling sticky and they WORK. The first week, I saw dramatic improvement. After that, improvement slowed down, but it's still getting better. I'm really impressed. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and I'll keep going until I don't look like a raccoon anymore. At this rate, that'll probably be one more order and another month. This was completely worth the price.

I liked the product, I am an actor and need clear skin, awhile back I had a breakout and it left dark marks on my forehead. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and defiantly see an improvement in my skin tone, it evened it out. I only gave 4 stars because it did not completely get rid of the dark marks on my forehead so I paired it with a product called ambi i bought off here and its really reduced the dark spots :)

When it comes to dark spots I've tried it all (at-home peels, hellaciously over priced professional peels, painful laser peels, murad/sephora hydroquinone, prescription higher % hydroquinone...) and have seen results but have never fully gotten rid of my spots. So. I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I've had my fair share of experience dealing with dark spots.This product actually works. I've only used it for a week and so far can see noticeable results- both in the lightening of dark spots and the quality/texture of my skin.I will update after a full month with my final review, but so far the only thing I regret is money spent in the past.This system is effective and for the price, it's amazing!
