HDMI matrix 8×8

I used this matrix switch to it's full capacity. I use all 8 inputs and outputs. It's extremely flexible and easily configurable. I even wrote a program in VB that allows me to send commands via RS232 so that I can control the input/output ports via a standard wireless numeric Keypad. In my program, I map a key to act as a hotkey so that when it's pressed, it sends a pre-configured command to the matrix switch to allow me to change any input to display on any output port I want. It does the job well. You can also access the settings via Ethernet IP (the supplier will send you the latest software). You can also purchase a module that you can put into the matrix to access it via http/web. I paid £46. The only thing to note is that every time you make a change to an input/output port, there is a 2-3 second delay. During this delay, the output monitor will go blank. This is not entirely unusual for less expensive matrix switches but I'm currently talking to the manufacturer to see if I can reduce this delay. This gives me the opportunity to say that the supplier is extremely helpful and responds promptly to all my queries. It's 5 stars from me.

Quick delivery. We had a faulty unit which was easily exchanged within a couple of days. No quibbles.

I've bought this item twice. I need my PCs and other media player to switch between different monitors,which is very easy for managing over this Matrix Switch. And the IR remote is with many functions, which is very convenient for me to switch. Both work great and meet my need for HDMI Matrix. Siwtch. It supports EDID and Rs232, So far I did not test these function. Overall, it does what I need it to do, and they offer a good price. Recommendation.

Das Gerät ansich ist gut verarbeitet und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Ein erster Test mit 1080p- und 4K-Verschaltung lief sehr vielversprechend. Wer keine anderen Auflösungen braucht, ist hier also gut bedient. Das Gerät behält die Monitor-Spezifikationen und erlaubt, die Eingänge zu konfigurieren und entsprechende EDID-Daten zu senden, so daß Zuspieler genau die Monitor-Info bekommen, die sie bekommen sollen. Auch die Verarbeitung verschiedener Soundformate ist gut gelöst. Leider gibt es zwei Punkte, die für mich einen Einsatz unmöglich machen: 1.) Das Gerät kann NUR 1080p und 4K bei verschiedenen Refresh-Frequenzen. Zwischenauflösungen wie 1440p kann das Gerät leider nicht verarbeiten. Dies steht auch in der Dokumentation, war aber zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufes nicht in der Produktbeschreibung ersichtlich. 2.) Das Gerät ist zum direkten Umschalten gedacht. Es beherrscht zwar einen Szenenspeicher, dieser ist aber eher umständlich zu bedienen ... Menü-Taste, Up/Down-Taste bis Load Scene oder Save Scene, Menü-Taste, Up/Down zur gewählten Szene, Menü. Wenn man oft die Szenen wechselt, beispielsweise um mehrere Monitore zwischen Rechnern umzuschalten, ist das zu umständlich. Das wird beispielsweise bei den TESmart-Matrizen besser gelöst: Load-Taste, Input-Taste mit Szenennummer - fertig. Dafür fehlt den TESmart-Matrizen wiederum die granulare EDIT-Einstellung. Fazit: Je nach Einsatzzweck ein gutes Gerät. Für meinen Einsatzzweck leider aufgrund der Auflösungen nicht geeignet, aber wenn irgendwann das ganze Setup auf 4K läuft, komme ich vielleicht wieder darauf zurück.
