amiciSound 17 Keys Musical Instrument Kalimba with Engraved Notes and Tuning Hammer

Ive bought this kalimba before years ago on amazon from the same company for myself and bought one recently to gift it to my friend. This time however while the kalimba remained more or less the same with only the position of sound hole changed to appear more aesthetic, amicisound has really ramped up the packaging from a normal cardboard box last time to a beautiful colored printed cardboard box with satin finish this time. Which of course makes up for a really classy looking gift for a musically inclined friend. The Kalimba has remained the same, wood is high quality with a matte finish, all the tins are playable and the resonance from the box was good on playing it.

This 17 key Kalimba is a good buy. Comes with a tuning hammer, 2 silicone thumb grips and a booklet with instructions and notations for a few easy songs. Seems to be made of Mahogany wood. The top sound board could have had a contour cut to make it easier on the palm, like that from other brands like Molioon. It is an easy instrument to learn, and for its size, makes travelling with it easy and fun.

I have been eyeing this product for a while and finally I bought it as a gift for a friend who is into meditation. Now I’m oh so tempted to buy one for myself. Wonderful product. Well made. Looks nice. Sounds lovely. The two side keys are a bit stiff and really don’t have much happening but I guess they’re there for a reason. Overall…the sound is just so soothing…it’s like if a harp and a bell had a baby… it would be a kalimba! It’s definitely worth the money.

Writing this review after 2 weeks of usage. Looks: Easy grip, good quality wood, comes readily tuned, got tuning hammer, silicon fingertips, packaging is very impressive and new. Music: Adequate sounds(pitch) produced, the sound quality is classic as it matters for a kalimba as it is an already subtle instrument, 17-keyed kalimba It has to be handled with utmost care and kept in a cool dry place, cleaned regularly for the best sounds and durability. I'm enjoying learning this instrument. Hope you do too :-) And don't think too much about negative reviews. This product is legit.
