This book has very good content and is what I would rank as one of the better PLC programming books. IT teaches you the actual things you need to know, like the management side of programming and being clean and understanding the importance of these things. It really is a great book for beginners becuase it teaches all of the things you should actually learn starting out that no one really os ever going to show you. I wish I would have bought this book 3 years agot o be honest. While it doesn't cover these program management, network, or selection topics in depth, it scratches the surface enough for you to realize the importance of them and know what content you need to seek next.

Some reviews state that this book is mostly an advertisement for AB products, however as a working automation engineer, I found a lot of the information in the beginning chapters of the book crucial to knowing the compatibility of PLC and PAC components for quick problem-solving in real world situations. Highly recommend this book as a refresher or to expand your knowledge for working professionals.
