Great marker available in different colors.
Update after a couple of months: It's all still really good and I'm happy with this pen, only the fact that the inside protection cap sticks on the marker and not in the cap which leaves some color on your finger and subsequently on any other equipment you touch, bothers me a bit and I've deducted 1 star now--------------------------Of course won't write to every stuff, but to most of it and when it's there it usually lasts almost forever. I've even been able to apply a water level mark submerged in the pool and it's there sind a couple of months. But I've found a few high density plastic surfaces, where it didn't stay. It's very important to let it dry for 5-7 minutes, otherwise you can smear it, but at least it's non-toxic it you touch it.One problem I've found with the Sakura Sticks is, that the inner cap doesn't stay in the outer cap, hence you usually have to manually take off two caps. I don't know why they did this or maybe it's just a malfunction. But I still like it very much and you don't need a lot. One will probably last for lifetime if it doesn't dry out.It even works on ice-hockey pucks. I've also found a video about that on YouTube.Check out the attached pics as well.

Great marker
This is an excellent, excellent marker. I havent found any surface it wont write on yet. Glass, stone, metal, wood, plastic, etc. Everything I have tried, I could write on perfectly.Note that this is a pretty wide tip. It's more of a "blunt instrument" than a precision tool. Whatever you're writing, be prepared to write in large font. This is solid paint, not an ink based marker. That's why it writes so well, but also means that it can smear a bit. The paint does harden a bit, but doesn't get "completely" cured/hard in the few days that I have tested. I wrote some random text on a piece of cardboard, and after a few days of curing, I was still able to smear the paint if I rubbed it hard. It does dry a bit compared to when it was fresh, but it was still relatively easy to smudge with some friction. It might "completely" cure in a few weeks, but I haven't left it out that long to test.

Great marker, but -- refills? Non-plastic container?
I use paint markers fairly often, and I liked this product because I don't have to worry about it freezing or leaking (we'll see about melting, I guess). It does indeed write on anything a normal paint marker would; it's quite a bit smoother and a little softer than a grease pencil, but not as dark/thick as an actual paint marker insofar as coverage. One thing I don't really like about it is that the more it's used, the wider the mark gets, sort of like how a pencil dulls. I could shave some of the width off, but I wonder if it comes in different thicknesses. The other thing is the plastic container. I get it, to some degree. It's more robust, etc. But considering that it doesn't look to be refillable, it's just kind of wasteful when there are probably other materials that'd be environmentally more responsible.

Absolutely simple to use
I actually procrastinated trying this out because I was afraid it was going to be messy. I was imagining a spraypaint-type can that needed to be shaken to mix up the paint, and was imagining all the dripping and mess that would ensue if I didn't hold it at just the right angle, and so on.Nothing could be further from the truth. Imagine that you have a circle on a piece of paper, and you have a pencil to fill in that circle. That's it. Except that for me, the "circle" was a chipped region on a piece of black doorway trim, and the "pencil" is this paint marker. Dead simple. Just take the cap off and use it like a pencil. It just works, and it just works that easily. Very satisfied, and I feel silly for waiting so long to use it.
