First off, the Web Guys will email you to death about the product warranty, proper use, and how to walk your dog, but It's nice to know they do care about your experience. When I received the leash and opened the package, it felt cheap and not well made like one you might find in the dollar store. However this leash has been anything but; I have used it several times with my 55 pound lab mix, who is not a puller, and the leash has performed very well. We went hiking with it, fine, walking, fine, but what has sealed the deal for me was when we went to the beach, into the salty water, with this leash. Salt and sand filled it completely! I of course washed it off and placed it in a sink of fresh water to clean it. And the leash has had no adverse affects from the salt! The same salt and sand which destroyed the recoil spring in a $27 Flexi leash that this item replaced. It is a belt style leash which I like, plus the 10 year guarantee (which I was drawn to because of my salt water usage). I have had this leash for a few months now, granted I don't use it everyday, but I expect it will outlast the Flexi it replaced (which it already has). Around $12 for a leash with a 10 year guarantee is well worth it!

My dog has broken four retractable leashes in the seven months we've had him, and this leash holds the dubious distinction of lasting the longest. It took him two months to wreck this one. I thought the buttons for the brake and lock could have been better arranged, but it had a sturdy appearance and a hand grip large enough to accommodate large or gloved hands. The vendor did honor their warranty, which was appreciated. The way a merchant deals with problems sometimes says more about them than how they deal with simple transactions.

I don't at all like the way the strap clutches with the brake button. Responsiveness is poor. No rubber on handle. I went back to my old retractible leash. I stand by my review of the product, however, I must comment most positively on the seller's making good on their satisfaction guarantee by offering me, without my asking, a full refund. Kudos for very responsible business practices.

Had a sharp edge inside the handle,which scrapped up my finger pretty good. I contacted them and they refunded my purchase. Which was very nice if them. Then 2 weeks later the dog pulled to hard and broke the recoil mechanism even though it was locked. But it's a nice leash over all,and they seem like a fair company.

I got this on 04/16 it broke on 05/07 without my dog even pulling on it, we were walking along and all of a sudden it wouldn't retract.. I only have a 5 lb. Yorkie and this thing was so not worth the money I paid for it. In less than a month I had a useless piece of junk. I requested to on return and the gaurantee was honored. I realize sometimes a product gets quality control but not all and I guess mine was one.

Thought this was a quality item however within weeks it started to fray at the beginning where it starts. Our dog is under 10 lbs so I am assuming it was a defect in the material??

What a total piece of crap! Lasted 6 weeks and then fell apart. I didn't have a good feeling about this product from the second it arrived. The leash had a light and hollow feeling to it and locking mechanism felt cheesy right from the start. I bought into the impressive "10 YEAR REFUND GUARANTEE - Industry leading 10 YEAR full money full back guarantee." bit. That's what sold me on this product. BIG mistake. Never again. The Flexi brand is a much more solid product and I will go back to using one of those.

The bad news: cord snapped after only 1 month of use with a 15lb dog. The cord frayed apart.The good news: the company contacted me immediately and I received a very prompt refund.
