Veggie Tales: The Penniless Princess

Watched this on a streaming service before I bought it and I loved it.I was invested in it from beginning to end. The characters were likeable and the ending was very satisfying for me. Sweet message and sweet, loveable female lead.Definitely one of veggietales better episodes, I recommend it for all ages. :)

I bought this to watch with my granddaughter because she likes princess movies. It is very good and fun to watch. Then we like to watch the drama “a little princess “ which this VeggieTale is based on.

This movie is a good movie. My twins love it so that’s all that matters.

My children greatly enjoy all things Veggie Tales, but this is one of the better ones. The songs were very engaging; my son was singing them for about two weeks AFTER returning it to the library. (Yes, we borrow videos from the library as much as possible! It's a free way to view them before deciding if they're worth owning.) I figured we should probably buy it after my daughter decided to borrow it on four separate occasions. It's been awhile since I read the book, but it seemed like the inspiration (Veggie Tales style, of course) was the book (A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett), and not any of the movie versions. The message that every girl is a princess, and of unimaginable worth to God, was portrayed well with a girl who knew her worth even at the worst of times.

I was able to take my 4 year old daughter to see an early preview of this movie and I loved it! My daughter did too of course. The story is based on the Little Princess and has an excellent message about being God's Princess no matter how much wealth you have. Every girl is a princess to God and my daughter left the movie understanding that. The little friends that the Princess Sarah makes are charming and the little song in between about BFF friends will give more laughs to the adults watching. I am so excited to get this movie for my girls to watch during their young years and I look forward to watching the positive message over and over again.

The kiddos like it because it’s new to them, but they will not pick it much in the future…

My three year old daughter LOVED this story! She received the Princess and the Popstar last year for her birthday and we loved that story as well. Veggie Tales have come a long way since their first girl story featuring Esther. Both the Penniless Princess and the Popstar stories are filled with the repeated message that a little girls worth is found in her belonging to God, the most High King, and that each little girl is His princess. I so wish I would have grown up with this message! Buy this for your little girl and remind her that just like the Veggie Tale princess' that she is a princess of the King of the whole world!

is good for its value despite being an earlier version. the story definitely a tate shorter than the newer release. still serve its purpose :)

Our Kids love Veggie Tale Movies.I like to show Veggie Tale Movies to my kids because they are funny, varied, comprehensive, extensive and the stories have an actually meaning.I would recommend Veggie Tale Movies to all children (and parents :-))

Great animated stories with biblical references; my grand daughter loves watching Veggie tales.

Good and positive message for young children to know god in a special way.
