I had a lot of problems finding a board big enough for an adult. This one is great! The shape glides through the water and the hand holes are well placed. I'm 240 lbs and this one keeps me afloat for kicking without a problem.

While some may frown on the notion of having new swimmers use kick boards, my experience is that they make great tools for helping new swimmer developer their legs and (hopefully) learn proper techniques at a time when coordinating kicks and strokes may be too challenging. My kids' neighborhood swim league even had a kickboarder event, which served to broaden participation and acclimate the youngsters to the notion of joining the team. Admittedly, the boards also provided loads of hilarious moments and fun home videos!The Kemp USA Contour Kick Board is a classic rendition of the tool. It's solid and small enough - but not too small - at a competitive price point. Are they made in the U.S.A.? They don't say. Even so, five stars.

My six-year-old is learning to swim, and this actually really helped with get it some control. In how he Kix his legs, it floats and functions really well the build quality is amazing, because it's very durable, it isn't bend, it's not flimsy. The design is made for safety, and the handles on the sides are the perfect width apart. For his small friend to grasp and hold on to while he's learning and practicing.

Just because you CAN swim without a kick board, doesn't mean you HAVE to swim without one. All of our kids love their "boogie boards" or kick boards, but two of them are getting really worn out, so it was time to look for replacements. This one is cool because of the added handles built into the contoured foam. Used once at an indoor pool and of course our three kids were fighting over who got to use this one. They all got their turn and love it! I'd say I'll buy more, but forcing them to share is what parenting is all about, amiright?
