Our 1.5 year old Australian Shepherd was spayed a week ago. They sent her home with a cone and she was so miserable. I had already ordered this product but I did it too late and we didn’t have it yet. She cried all night long and wouldn’t move. She was miserable.The next day I went to pet smart and they had a surgical recovery suit, but the fit was wrong. For her weight (55 lbs) the suit did not cover her stitches which is literally the only point of the suit. The next size down was uncomfortably tight on her. Also, the way the snaps and Velcro worked it was cumbersome.Then this suit by Suitical came in the mail and EVERYTHING CHANGED! It fit comfortably with much better fabric. The poly-cotton blend was stretch enough and soft enough to wear but has still been durable.I took her for a walk and she urinated before I could get it unsnapped. (It was my fault). So I had to remove it and wash it for her. I washed it by hand in the sink and then dried it on cool, air dry. It did not lose its shape or size!!This dog is so special to me. I want her to have as easy a time as possible. It would not have happened without this product. The Suitical suit protected her stitches while being comfortable enough for her to wear 24 hours a day during her recovery. She is happy and recovering nicely. I am going to recommend to all of my friends. This is the way to go, without question.

My Bernese mountain dog recently had surgery for a spay, gastroplexy and umbilical hernia repair. This adorable “onesie” fits her perfect! She is a little over 100 lbs and I ordered an XXL. It has a pocket over the abdomen to place an ice pack to decrease swelling and give comfort or to add gauze if wound is seeping. My vet was very impressed with this option. It washes and dries like a dream. She did not need the E collar(cone) because the garment kept her from getting at the incision. It is lightweight and very stretchy. Exceptional quality fabric and the snaps made it so easy to remove and put on. Thank you!

This product is perfect for a female dog immediately after surgery. It’s sturdy yet soft and fit perfectly. So much better than the cone of shame for a belly incision.

I purchased this for my puppy to prepare for her spay. She looks great in it. It's working and I believe she actually likes wearing it. She aims her head for the opening when I pull it out. She's a Portuguese water dog so maybe on the long side? I got the M plus but wonder if the L would have worked better. I had to stretch it a little as it's tight around her neck and the front leg openings are a little off but I don't think she minds. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Our youngest dog just had her spay surgery & I found this surgery suit for dogs on Amazon. I must say it's a definite win! Our vet loved it so much & said it's a great alternative to putting her in the cone of shame. It's easy to get on, it rolls up & snaps for when they have to go potty, so you don't have to take it all the way off. It has snaps in the back to keep it on & in place, so much better than velcro. It has a high neck that is better shaped to their actual neck, so it doesn't slide down & come off over their chest. It stretches enough to get it on & allow them to move comfortably, but without over stretching & becoming too loose. The leg & tail holes are perfect size, no squeezing sausage legs. My dog seems much happier in it than the cone & is more calm & relaxed wearing it. It has multiple layers over the stomach for extra protection, as well as a pocket to put an ice pack or pad in, if needed. Our dog has a 24.5" back length, 27.5" chest girth, & is 54lbs. We bought the medium & it fits perfectly. I highly recommend getting the size suggested in the chart based off your dog's measurements. If they are between sizes, get the smaller size. You only need to buy the plus size if your dog is muscle beefy, chunky, over weight, or super fury. This is a great suit!

My dog suffers from allergies and I bought this to prevent him from scratching. It fits him, I measured him and he was 24 inches, so I went with the medium. He has a broad chest and wide neck and the suit is tight in that area. He just cannot relax with it on, I should have went with the larger size by it says recommended to size down. I’m disappointed to say the least

I ordered an XL for a male GSD who’s just under 80 pounds. He has a petite frame, so I’d likely recommend a larger size for more standard or bulkier size GSD. It fits perfect and has some slack on the underside for air flow and the breathability required for healing. My boy hasn’t tried to remove it or bother with it at all, which tells me he’s comfortable in it. He has two incisions from a neuter and hernia repair, which are both covered up entirely by the suit. This gives me peace knowing that germs from the floor and his mouth are being kept away from the incisions. The suit is very easy to roll up for potty breaks and to check the incisions a couple times per day.

I ordered several different dog onesies and returned all but this one. The fabric stretches and hugs the body so it fits everywhere - worked very well keeping my dog from getting at her stitches from being spayed.

This suitical coat is ideal for dogs who cannot tolerate wearing a cone. This brand is soft, comfortable, easy to get on and off and very good value for the price. I highly recommend this product. We have an extra one so one can be washed and dried if soiled. The only down side is that it cannot be dried in the dryer so needs to air dry. That is another reason to have an extra one. It is also well fitting and doesn't chafe areas that may have an incision.

Easy to put on and take off. Nice little popper underneath so you can just roll the back up for quick toilet trips rather than taking the whole thing off. Dog was very comfy and happy in it for long periods.
