Yup. Real Galinstan. Nicely packaged, too.
This is real "Galinstan" alloy, 68.5% Gallium, 21.5% Indium and 10% Tin. It came in a neat new shipping box, full of clean styrofoam peanuts, with a ziplock bag inside bearing a neat label with 9 different physical properties specified, and the bag had a glass vial in it. The vial is silvery inside and shaking it gives a heavy inviscid liquid sensation. The metal inside looks clean and acts like Galinstan is supposed to act - as far as I know it's perfectly pure. All in all, this is exactly what I thought I was buying.Galinstan is different from Mercury. It's supposed to be. It wets things much more easily than Mercury does. Best of all, it has very little toxicity and spilling it is not a problem, not like Mercury. A house in our town had to be gutted because somebody spilled something like a spoonful of Mercury in an upstairs bedroom. Galinstan is nothing like that!

Not like mercury and way more expensive
Thought that it would be like mercury--got it for my grandson. We used to love to play with mercury when I was a kid--now that is considered taboo, like so many things. Not even close to mercury as it just sticks to everything. Not much fun and very expensive.
