I’ve been purchasing this roast for about three years straight nowin the right machine, this produces exceptional results. On par with some of the best coffee in the world in my opinion.

Good, but expensive
This coffee was very enjoyable, and not too oily for my machine to grind. At about double the price of my usual brand, I would say it is not twice as good, but it was worth the try.

Perfect cup
I have been to different parts of the world and finally in my backyard I found the perfect cup of coffee. At Panevino Italian Restaurant here in Vegas and when I inquired about the coffee, this is the coffee they serve. Well it is perfect. Not bitter, it’s smooth and perfect taste that I started drinking my coffee black.

Inconsistency between batches
I was in love with Bristot Buongusto first time I was pulling shots from it. It has good body and flavors. And most important: it is very easy to work with.I came from about 10+ kg of Lavazza and few kg of "third wave light roast." I dosed grounds into the basket directly, shake, wipe, tamp. Minimal intervention if you may call. If I was lucky, I can get good flow and no spurting on "third wave" beans, even so, the inbalance, uncooked-ness, and the acidity just grossed me out. So I was happy with Lavazza for a while.Lavazza is a reliable old friend. Always consistent and easy to work with. But some pizzazz is desired. So when I found Bristot, a northern Italian style roast, with highly positive review, I decided to try it.It is a blend / roast that demonstrates the beautiful look, balance and clean cup of espresso. I was in love with it for a while. At least the first two bats of it. When the third bag arrives, I felt I was free fall from espresso paradise to purgatory. With this third bag, I kept on getting spurting all the time. And it tastes just not much better than those "third wave" roasts.I checked the batch number on the back of the bags. It somehow verify my experience: the first two bags are from the same batch: "Lotto L R230 06:45 2302" and "Lotto L R230 07:38 2302", both were roasted on Feb 23, 2022. See my photo. The third bag, "Lotto L R08Z 11:02 0806" on Jun 08, 2022.With a wishful thinking, I ordered the fourth bag while I finally went through this dreadful bag in the hope that the seller would ship a bag from different batch, if not the same as the first two.I just got the bag today. Unfortunately it is the same as the third bag. And I realized I cannot return or exchange it. So now I am stuck with a bag of coffee which I have no faith or interest pulling shots.

Good taste
Nice flavor. Can taste coffee. Bold. However, wish it was no pesticide.
