Lay your fears aside they work great!
I was skeptical about these batteries having seen the negative reviews, as that is where i tend to gravitate when first considering a purchase and there was a fair many of them. I don't know about their experience but these work perfectly in my Bose QC1 40227 headphones. I have had these for about a week and have been through a charge cycle with both batteries and they have worked flawlessly. Though not continuous, but at stints of about 30 minutes at the longest and repeated on and off shorter cycles I got about 5 hours of use with the first battery out of the package before needing a charge. They both work flawlessly with my original Bose charger. I can't attest to their overall longevity, but that's the gamble with any battery. For now I am a happy camper.

They damaged my charger(s)…
I wanted to like these batteries. I had an old set of Bose headphones that I had not used in years that were still in great shape. I only had the one original Bose battery and wanted some new backups. At first, the batteries seemed to work well. However, after charging them a couple of times the inner most contact on my charger broke and would not charge the batteries anymore. I never had an issue with the original Bose battery that I charged many times over the years. I chalked it up to being a fluke. I bought another original Bose charger that was in mint condition and used it to charge my Bose battery with no issue. I then tried charging them HQRP batteries and had a problem with them making a connection to the charger. When I pulled one of the batteries out of the charger the inner most contact broke again. When I compared the size of the metal contact pads on my original Bose battery to the HQRP batteries, the HPRP batteries metal contact pads are smaller which may be causing the charger contact to stick on the surrounding plastic and break when removing the battery. Now I am stuck with two useless battery chargers and two batteries that I cannot charge.

Work in BOSE headphones
Worked fine in BOSE headphones. No problem charging in the BOSE wall charger. Seem to hold a charge just fine.

New batteries do not charge in OLD style charger
If you have a very old-style battery charger that plugs directly into the 110 v outlet when charging the battery, you may have to buy a new style charger with a detachable power cord as well. I ordered a set of replacement batteries from two different suppliers and none of them would indicate that they were charging when plugged into my old charger. They would power up the headphones though. I bought a new style charger and they all charged OK and worked fine when installed in the headphones. There must be a very slight dimensional difference in the two chargers even though they look the same! Also, the new batteries from ElXJAR had the part number label on the front side of the battery and it would not fit in the charger, you have to peal it off and put it on the rear side of the battery!

Excellent product
Purchased two spare batteries for my Bose QC3 headphones after the original OEM battery died. I charged in my Bose OEM charger with no problem. It fits perfectly in the charger and perfectly in the headphones. I used one battery 5 hours to Las Vegas. Used the second battery for 5 hours to return to New York. Works perfectly. Next test is a longer flight.

Does Work - Corrected review
New review - Update. The batteries do work. I found out that if I left the batteries in my Bose charger longer than overnight, they would charge up normally and have been using them without any issue. For some reason the charge light will go out as if fully charged, but hey are not. Honestly, I don't know if my original Bose battery reacts the same way. Anyway, the alternate batteries work just fine. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because the amp capacity is reduced from the original large capacity battery of the OEM. Original review - I have an original Bose charger and 2 Batteries. One of the originals was failing to hold charge, so decided to give these a try. Both of the new batteries do not work. They fit perfectly into the Bose headset. I attempted to charge each one multiple times overnight and in each case after inserting into the headset and powering ON, the power LED would flash indicating low charge. I'm back to using my 1 good original with no problems. They don't offer free return shipping, so I'm not going to pay to ship them back. I just consider it a loss. Don't buy these and waste your money. Of course if the company wants to send me another set FOC, I will update this review.

Do not charge
This battery unit are not compatible with original charger from Bose, so you cannot charge at all. Also they are not cover return shipping cost, so I have to pay additional $12 just for return. Battery is defect and have to pay additional for return, these are totaly waste of time and money. Do not but this products.

I took a chance on a 2 pack. Packaging was mangled and only one dead battery inside. Wasted money.
