HIVIZ RG2245LLW01 Interchangeable Front Handgun Sight for Ruger 22/45 Lite Model

The factory sights on my Ruger Mark IV were black on black and very difficult for me to pick up the front sight against my targets. This sight was easy to put in and worked great!! It's been on for a couple of years and I simply couldn't do without it!! Highly recommended for anyone who has difficulty using the factory sights. Economical and simple way to bring your handgun to the next level.

Did not receive the version pictured, but the one with the two 'cross bars' over the top of the optic; this is the design most people complain about. However, I did not find them objectionable, the sight fit perfect, no change in point of impact and much easier to see and acquire the target. This of course improved my accuracy on small targets, which is what I was after. I hate returning stuff, so I did not contact Amazon about the difference; whether I would like the other style more, I am not sure. I have a few hi viz style sights and much prefer them over regular 'iron' sights. If Amazon would have sent the one pictured I would have given 5 stars; deducted one for incorrect advertising.

Replaced the black OEM front with this item and it really makes a great difference for older eyes like mine.

Wonderful addition to my standard 22/45bull barrel pistol that came with a totally unmarked front sight. Happy with the EZ and solid installation as well. This greatly improved my target acquisition. And I did much better attaining my aim at points on target at the range today shooting with new front sight attached. (Also, my sight did NOT come with the mounting screw so save yours upon removing the plain stock one!) Also I installed my hi-viz sight using a bit of blue Locktite on the threads too to help keep it securely in place.

Some reviewers noted the dim element in the sight. It is bright enough for normal daylight without being too bright. If you need a brighter front sight for commando raids or your special ops training, chances are you're not grabbing a 22lr. The factory sight post really left much to be desired. As noted by other reviews, this sight is a perfect match for height compared to the factory sight. I used a dot of Red Loctite and it's stayed put. Given the rail on this pistol I'm likely going to use the Vortex Venom red dot most of the time, but the adjustable rear sight and this front fiber optic do what I expect. Highly recommend for a front sight upgrade.
