France LuxeLarge Hair Pin Pair - Tortoise

These are not rigid and sturdy enough to hold my very thick, coarse hair without using a lot of hairspray and additional bobby pins. I was eating lunch at a nice outdoor restaurant recently when my low bun literally flew apart, and the pins landed on the ground. (I thought I was being attacked by large flying insects, but no, it was just my baling-wire hair and these pins escaping despite my efforts and a gallon of hairspray.) That was embarrassing.

The picture of this "large hair pin pair" was deceiving. I was disappointed when I saw the prongs were quite short - 3". I suppose if I use both @ same time it might stay positioned a little longer than an hour.....but that is uncomfortable. The search continues.....

Easy to pin up thick hair

The material is too flimsy a plastic to support my long thick hair so I gave them to my mom and she loves them for her mid length thin hair.

I never have trouble with hair pins or accessories ..i even have some like these in tortoise shell, but these wouldn't stay in. They are pretty but not for me

The top part of the pin was too big.

Pretty. But, they continually slip out. Would be better if they had rubber on them. I shout my hair down at Church then have to go find my grips on the floor afterwards. Apostolic girl problems. Oh well.

Simple and effective -- I've used this kind of pin before (can't find drugstore variety any more) so I was used to placing it. Might take a little practice if you've never used a pin. Glad I had to search for the pins on Amazon, because this is the best I've ever used -- very light and doesn't pull.
