Q: what kind of grass seed is this

I was expecting a fine sativa or indica or even a hybrid. This is a different kind of grass. I believe it is a type of fescue.

Q: Can I use this in a spreader such as Scott hand powered spreader?

This product is intended for patch repair, we do not recommend using it in a spreader.

Q: Is this Scott's combination patchmaster sun and shade for north or south

Scotts PatchMaster Lawn Repair Mix is good for both Northern and Southern states, so as long as your lawn is bluegrass, ryegrass or fine fescue - or a mixture of all three.
