The Allergy Solution: Unlock the Surprising, Hidden Truth About Why You Are Sick and How to Get Well

Excellent
I think this breaks down the issues contributing to asthma and allergy very well and I think it will be very helpful to many. I have some reservations about the power wash. It's all liquid and by day 2 I was a mess. And there's no protein! Except for advocado and chia seeds. I worried about that and felt kind of spacey (oolong tea is not coffee) so on day 2 I added chicken and rice, reasoning that I'm unlikely to be allergic to them. But today, as on the other days, I really don't feel any better. I'm still wheezing. I'll keep trying and maybe switch out the rice and chicken for lamb and sweet potatoes. And I'm going to stick with it to learn if any foods produce reactions. But it could be my issue is more environmental. The information on supplements and gut is also excellent.

Healed me
This healed me for a decade from gut issues and made my allergies way more tolerable. Now I'm turning to it again when more mysterious problems arise. It took away some gut and pain issues I was having and I'm on my road to recovery.

Brains but no guts.
Some interesting info. Turned me on to oolong tea. The book wasn't that helpful to me--it's a lot of stuff I already know--been down this road for a decade now. I suppose if you're new to allergies and asthma this book would be much more helpful. I'm not sure if it's fair of me to dock a star for the following observations or not: the doctor really tiptoes around chemical fragrance (comprised of known carcinogens, chemically similar to cigarette smoke) and totally omits any mention of the impact of aluminum adjuvants in exponentially increasing vaccines. Would've been nice to read about how to rid the brain/body of aluminum, if that's possible. Maybe I'm wrong, but my sense is (from listening to the doctor talk on a podcast I subscribe to) that the doctor is a very bright man whom I suspect is well aware of how much aluminum is added to inactivated-virus vaccines as an adjuvant, is well aware of how adjuvants work by super-charging the immune system, and equally well aware of how the marked increase in allergies and asthma coincides with a marked increase of aluminum inoculation in immature immune systems. On the one hand, I'm aware that speaking the truth can cost medical professionals their career (because of corruption); on the other hand, these glaring omissions left me thinking: the doctor has brains but no guts. Hard to respect that he pretended the possibly biggest factor in the huge rise in allergies and asthma doesn't exist. It was a big elephant in the room, while reading the book.

Mostly love this book. Well done!
As a Certified LEAP Therapist, we know that non-IgE Food and Chemical Sensitivities must be addressed as well as IgE allergies for overall good health. This book states MUCH of what I've heard myself say for years to clients & CLTs that I've mentored! (But, I'm only about 1/2 way thru.)I must say that I don't agree fully with the diet recommendations, since clearly, as a LEAP Therapist, based on MRT blood testing, we often find clients reactive reactive to recommended foods like banana, tea, olives or turmeric, for example. (I have one client that figured out that lettuce triggered her migraines 36 hours later. Another client that found turmeric was actually increasing her arthritis - but it's highly individual.)But, the list of "avoids" is really reasonable for "Do it myself-figure it out myself Elimination Diets."I've also chuckled that "I can tell the authors are from NYC." They must not realize that in MANY parts of the country, esp rural America, we just cannot buy arugula (it's one recipe/smoothie ingredient easily substituted however and easy to grow). I also know many people HATE arugula, even if I personally love it.But, all that said, still finding many pearls, even as an expert in non-IgE food sensitivity. I recommended it! What a great book. Their is so much important and helpful ...
What a great book. Their is so much important and helpful information in this book and it doesn't just cover allergies but all the things going on in your body that you may not even realize are due to allergic reactions. Like How important the heath of your gut is in keeping your entire body in balance. If you are having a chronic health issue and you and your doctors are at a loss as to the cause and how to possibly treat it by putting your body back in balance, then this is the book for you. It really has helped my stomach issues by balancing my Ph levels. Great job and thanks...

Good basic info for people starting to address allergies
Good basic information but it was nothing new for me. Maybe I am more informed than most people, but this didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.

I especially enjoyed the holistic approach
As a practicing Dietitian with additional certification in food allergy management, I appreciated the work and experience that went into writing this book. I was able to pick up new ideas for potential allergens, as well as new and effective suggestions for treatment. I especially enjoyed the holistic approach, as the mind and the environment in which we exist have as much impact as the food we ingest. I tune into to the author's speaking engagements whenever possible and always learn something new! Look for their blog on recruitment microbiota - fascinating! Keep up the great work!

enough information
This book has enough information to understand allergies and how to deal with them. I strongly recommend to buy this book if you cannot alleviate allergies symptoms such as asthma for example.

Very easy and informative read about our health
So tired of taking allergy medications, I started researching gut health and stumbled onto this book and I am so happy I did. Those of us with allergies and chronic issues are not faking the fatigue, the exhaustion, the feeling of brain fog, and memory issues sometimes...but since we don't look any different, it's hard to convince people what we feel is real. This book tells you it's real, and how you can help reduce your allergies the healthy way.

I have just read this very informative and wonderful book and now at last in my early eighties ...
I was born with breathing problems back in the 30's which led to me being diagnosed with Asthma. I suffered badly through my school years as there were no real medications for Asthma. The following decades became easier with more medication becoming available. I have just read this very informative and wonderful book and now at last in my early eighties I feel I can do more than use an inhaler on a daily basis. The medical profession should definitely read this book - but as I was told recently by a doctor, that looking into the reasons was not part of their training - so unfortunately treating symptoms with prescription drugs will just go on. Such a shame.
