Good when new
Good when new. But now infuriating it keeps slipping down the wood. Have to keep pulling it back up the comb

Does exactly what it claims to
This kit consists of a soft rubber sleeve and six foam rubber pads of various thicknesses. I needed to use two pads -- one thick and one thin -- to get the height I needed. It is probably possible to stack more than two, but I think the result would be a bit wobbly. In any event, the different thicknesses allow very fine adjustment to be achieved.I am using this comb raiser on a Browning T-bolt rifle; it could ideally be an inch longer for a perfect fit, but it's perfectly usable as it is.The sleeve is rather awkward to pull over the pads once they are in place on the stock. The trick is to roll the sleeve towards the trigger, insert the pad(s), and then unroll the sleeve out towards the butt. Trying to yank the sleeve over anything by brute force is a non-starter, and it will probably tear.Once in place, the pad/sleeve assembly is pretty rigid, but it does move slightly under the weight of my head, which wouldn't be the case with a solid stock riser. The movement is due to the compression of the pad, not the pad slipping on the stock, so probably the only way to prevent this movement would be to use a more solid pad material. It's a nice touch that there is a cut-out in the bottom of the sleeve for a sling nut to poke out from. This is an expensive item, compared to the similar offerings on eBay for about five quid. However, it looks to be well-made and robust, so I'm not complaining.
