Fudge Matte Hed Extra Strong Hold Texture Wax, 2.87 Ounce

I used Xtah Crude Clay for years and was very happy with it, but it sadly disappeared from the market. I took a chance on numerous other products to try to replicate what Crude Clay had done, that being a matte hair product that didn't weigh down my hair or make it oily or cause build-up. Eventually I discovered Fudge Matte Hed Extra by chance and immediately fell in love. For the record, my hair is fairly short "guy hair" and doesn't need a lot of product, so I'm not going to suggest what it might do for other hair types or lengths. I use what might be similar to a pencil eraser in size, and it's applied when my hair is almost dry. It keeps small flyaway hair in place, helps moderately thin hair stand up a bit, and generally makes my hair look like I don't have anything in it even though I do. This is not some magical wonder product, but it sure does a great job on my hair. I've purchased it on Amazon numerous times, having had it delivered from the UK when there were no US-based vendors. As long as Fudge makes it, I'll be a customer. This is my go-to hair product.

I was looking for good hair wax for men for a long time and was going from brand to brand, not really finding what i was looking for. Then a few years ago i got this recommended at a hair dresser and i have only used this ever since. I have short blonde hair and I like to scruff it up a little bit but i hate the shine effect that most other waxes gives your hair. This gives your hair excellent hold and no shine but more of matte finish (hence the name). It is also very easy to wash out. Overall by far the best hair wax i have tried.

Great product, only wish they sold this in the United States.

Gives a great natural hold without the greasy look. My hair is stick straight with no body. This is the one product that works for me. Also feels like hair feels thickened and doesn't cause hair to fall out.

This stuff is worth the money. I've tried lots of matt finish type products, and this is the best. It holds the hair well with only a little product, and does add texture. Buy it.

Hold is fine, product is fine. This is going to sound crazy but it doesn’t smell like fudge. When I was younger I remembered getting my fair cut and the lady used a product called FUDGE and it smelled like FUDGE unfortunately it doesn’t

I moved from the UK to the US a little while ago and was getting nervous about dwindling stocks that I brought with me. My nerves are now gone!

I found out about this stuff from my hairdresser about 4 years ago and I am utterly grateful. It also appears to be a bit of a secret as well, it is there but its not exactly easy to find in the high street. On to the good bits: Smell: fairly pleasant, certainly not unpleasant like many other products out there! There are better smelling products, namely the Fudge Creme but this is still pretty enjoyable. Effect: there is honestly no competition out there. This stuff makes VO5 Matte Clay look and feel like olive oil. Fudge Matte clay provides a strong hold, it's not greasy, the matte effect is evident but doesn't look over the top either. It also makes hair look very textured which really compliments your cut providing you have a talented hair dresser. People often ask me what I use and anyone who I let use this product is converted to Fudge. Value: It is expensive. And it will last a decent time, depending on hair length and the amount of times styled. I usually get over a month with use every single day, sometimes twice! Staying power: Fantastic. Doesn't fall flat or change shape too much, it holds well no matter what! It's perfect for clubbing in my opinion. And in a pinch, the next day your hair will still look reputable. But now for the bad bits: The tube delivery can be a bit annoying, if you dispense too much you can't put it back in like you could with a tub. Also when you get towards the end, the delivery can be fairly weak but this can be remedied by using a pen or something to force the inside tube up (much like you would with a toothpaste tube). I often smash my tube open when I can no longer empty product out, as there is often enough left for one or two hair styles! But these really aren't even minor problems in my opinion. Yes it is quite expensive but in my opinion it is far far far superior to any other Matte Clay or Wax there is. I have been buying this stuff for a long time now and shall continue too! I definitely recommend this product.
