Just what I was looking for
I always wonder when is the best time of year to visit places in London (especially during the Christmas holidays) and this seasonal guide is exactly what I was looking for. Loads of suggestions on the best places to eat and shop, full of insider tips, useful maps and amazing images that give a visual representation of what the place looks like during that time of year. Looks really cute on my bookshelf too. Love it.

Good photos, bad writing
Reading this book is like reading a collection of sponsored articles written by your local newspaper. A lot of the photography is of food, so it feels like you're reading a menu a lot of the time, plus the writing is very clumsy and just feels insincere, like marketing speak in an advert, which is what every piece basically is.The photos are generally good, if a little unrealistic (I guess this is par for the course with instagram) but I felt too often while reading the text that the photos I wanted to see weren't there. There are some great shots in there to be fair, also some pretty silly ones tooAs a travel guide it's pretty bad. It's pretty random as well, they include a few odd destinations like York (which is 220 miles from London!)A few places look interesting for sure and I'd not heard of most of the places they mention. I guess I'll keep it as a coffee table kind of book to flip through but I don't think I'd want to read any more of their guides.

This is a lovely book to read. It’s arranged nicely with beautiful pictures. I only wish the pictures were glossy rather than mat.

Stunning London photography and travel theme.
Bought as a gift to a couple moving to London. 4 Seasons as the book’s sections is a brilliant theme. Stunning pictures from different parts of London city, the pictures guide you when is the right season to visit the place (keeping photography & climate in mind), but generally it captures a great way to travel to these city spots. The illustrated maps are fantastic too. Great shots & info of local restaurants, parks, walks, shopping and museums/galleries. Fresh day trips ideas are a fantastic addition. It is a very well designed book. The authors & publishers have done a great job.
