Buy least expensive in my experience. Lit numbers help you ZERO.
This is my second furman power conditioner. Other one still in use after 18 years and never had issues. The 18 y/o one shows the actual voltage, and never seen dangerous levels. Used for mobile DJ application (many lights/scanners, and drove CE 2000 crown amp in addition to everything else I needed to give electricity. Also have used for 8 space rack of vocal and guitar effects processors. As I said, still works, never repaired. Set it and forget it, so why the extra readouts on the more expensive models? My other had a meter (usually shows 117, sometimes 118 or 119. So then what? It powers 3 pinballs from the 1990’s in my home built in the 1950’s. Fuse never popped or needed reset. Cheap insurance policy.

Reasonably priced and works as advertised.
Works as advertised. One thing I’ve noticed unlike my older Furman power strips is that the front lights are dimmable and work like normal but, there is no off switch for the lights. This means that you can dim the lights all the way down but, they will never turn totally off. It’s not a deal breaker for me but, I thought I’d mention that for potential buyers. This unit is reasonably priced and I would buy again without haste.

Purchased 2 of these
They are so amazing for connecting your precious tech equipment. I have two hooked up to my rackmount pa system for all my gear. Definitely is a necessity. Good quality and much more shallow than i was expecting leaving plenty of room for all the plugs and wiring. The pop out lights on the front are helpful too in lower light settings.

A must have for any recording studio...
Great value compared to other places. This unit isn't one of those things you touch often in the studio, but is working 24/7 behind the scenes protecting your investment. A must have for any home/ professional studio setup.

Solid Build, Noise Filter Might Not Work, Lights Are Better Than Most Say
Got this 2 days early. The build is solid. A hefty 5 lbs. Fits on my 2U rack perfectly, along with my DBX 286s. However, I bought this for two reasons.1) Power conditioning to reduce noise down the line, but it appears to have increased the noise floor, so it's worse. I can't tell if that's because I'm getting cleaner power to the DBX 286s and, while I reduced the preamp gain on the 286 to compensate, I still get the noise (low hum). This is a huge disappointment, as it is the main reason I got this unit. I have no doubt I can fix this by plugging this into an outlet across the room (I've tested this before), but thought this might keep me from having to stretch an long extension cable across the room.2) Provide cleaner power with some added protection for my equipment. I can only assume this is what is happening, as I have no real way to test that at the moment. The features of this unit are a bit extra in my case, as I didn't need the lights and don't use all the outlets. However, I couldn't get the model that didn't have the lights, as it was out of stock and this was only $5 more.I have to say there are tons of reviews on this unit that state the lights get hot. They do. However, people say they're too dim and that wasn't my experience. I lit this thing up all the way on the dimmer switch in a daylit room and it worked just fine. I've also seen people state that you can't turn off the lights. They turn off when the light posts are pushed all the way in. Yes, the dimmer switch would have been better if it had a full "off" position, so that you don't have to mess with the posts, but honestly if you're adjusting the dimmer, then you're right there where the posts are, as well. In other cases, people state this only works with the type of bulb that comes with it, but there is a video on YouTube where a person installs these (Full Compass brand, part no. 800-356-584) in his unit and it worked. They're LED and bright. I can't personally verify this, as I don't have those bulbs at the moment. Their FAQ on the product says:15A Standard Power Conditioner w/LightsWhat kind of light bulb does the Furman Merit series use for the pull out lights? The bulb is a C7 type bulb. Anything from 4 to 7 watts is acceptable. On one of my images here I took out the background of my horrible cable management that I'm embarrassed about.Hopefully, that puts some concerns to rest.

Great Product
Mounted it in a rack to control TV and home theater. It enabled me to kill the vampire power drain with a single switch. The lights are a bit dim but I mounted the blu-ray player beneath the power module. It gives the perfect amount of light to illuminate disc changing, etc. This product replaced two surge protectors that were in awkward positions. Hreat outlet placement for "wall warts" front outlet is very convenient.

These things are great!
I've always been a fan of these things. They provide very clean power for audio applications and they're very affordable! We use one in our amp rack and one at our sound board at church. I use them for network installs too because they make cable management so much easier than a surge protector. Love it!
