Outstanding addition to my arsenal
Update: After doing further research I decided to purchase the Spectraview calibration software designed by NEC for monitors in this class. Previously, I calibrated utilizing the Spyder 5 Elite. The Spyder does the calibration in the PCs graphic card. Spectraview does a hardware calibration right in the monitor. After calibrating with Spectraview, it took my monitor utility up to a much higher level. It enabled me to calibrate the monitor with a lighter more brilliant image. After calibrating I ran a print, and it was a near perfect match. If you go for this or any of the other NEC monitors, go for the Spectraview Calibration software. By the way if you have the Spyder products, the Colorimeter from Spyder works with Spectraview software.I had a very good View Sonic monitor. After really studying color space, I found that my View Sonic only covered 74% of of the AdobeRGB space. After doing a lot of research, I decided to order the NEC PA322UHD because it was rated at 99% of the AdobeRGB, and it is 4K. I became concerned when the monitor arrived because the box was monstrously heavy (my previous monitor was 27" and this is one is 32"). I managed to get it into my garage and unpack it. The monitor has a built in power supply which is one reason for the weight. I was able to carry up to my work area which is on the 2nd floor of my home, got it hooked up and voila'. I didn't know what to expect from a monitor that had the capability of covering 30% more of the Adobe standard color space; it is simply amazing just to see the brilliant colors as soon as I fired it up. I did not purchase the NEC calibration tools because I had previously invested in the Spyder 5 Elite. So, after allowing it to warm up for an hour or so, I began my calibration. The Spyder verified that it covered 99% of AdoeRGB at the completion of calibration. I then opened Lightroom to take a look at my photos. I keep Lightroom set at ProPhoto RGB which is a larger space than Adobe. Nevertheless, the color is an amazing upgrade over what I felt was a very good monitor. At just under $3,000, the NEC is very expensive. My justification is that I have a high resolution camera, all L-Glass Canon lenses. Why not complete the process with a great monitor for retouching. Now the ultimate question. Will this monitor make be a better photographer? The simple answer, of course, is no. However, it will enable me to see more of what I capture with my camera and lenses which should, over time, improve my vision. A high resolution monitor with a very wide gamut will enable me squeeze the most out of my Raw files.

One of the Best monitors on the market
This NEC PA322UHD-BK-2 31.5 inch monitor is professional grade in every respect. The 4K resolution is outstanding, and the color contrast and clarity is superb. The black cabinet has a sleek look, and the horizontal to vertical position adjustment of the monitor makes it quite versatile. To get the highest resolution, you will need to get a high grade HDMI cable, or use the enclosed Display Port cable, and you will have to make certain that your video card is capable of producing 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. Many professional photographers along with graphic artists will select this monitor for its critical color and accurate color calibration adjustment options. This monitor is expensive, but the color reproduction, contrast, and the crispness of the clarity is hard to beat.

The best UHD monitor on the market hands down
I did a lot of research and tried to find the best 4K display available. I couldn't really find a monitor that stood well above the rest until I read the NEC PA322UHD Review from PCMag. The review convinced me to pick one up, and holy cow I am glad that I did.I've used the Asus PA328Q, LG 31MU97-B, Asus PQ321Q, and many more monitors. This is in entirely it's own league. Never have I used a monitor with such vivid colors and razor sharpness.. on top of great software and features like built in KVM switch and more.Honestly, the minor downside is the girth/weight of this thing, it's large and in-charge. But after using it I just find this to be charming and it makes the monitor feel better-made. I did find a monitor mount that can hold this-- if you're in the market I highly recommend the Humanscale M8 mount. All in all this monitor was one of the best investments I made in my work and productivity. I highly recommend it.

This monitor has ruined me for other panels.
I have two of these beauties, and I couldn't be happier! 4k@60Hz scales very nicely on OS X 10.11+
