Nice to read but expensive
Paperback edition costing 160rs consist of only 5 stories in 32 pages. Writing of author is excellent but book is somewhat costly. At the back of cover it is mentioned that stories like " the gist of the magi" etc are covered in the book bit it' not. One must go for hardbound book instead of paperback as description is deceptive. Couldn't returned the book due to timeline issue as i got paperbakc instead of hardbound what i ordered.

The quality of this volume is excellent. I bought it as a keepsake after directing a production about O. Henry. All the actors wrote nice notes in the fly leaf. It sits on my shelf in the living room with other high quality volumes. The stories, of course, are O. Henry awesome!

This book only has a couple of his stories. Missing are: The Gift of the Magi; The Ransom of Red Chief; The Cop and the Anthem; The Clarion Call; A Midsummer Knight's Dream; and many more. He was such a prolific writer and I thought I purchased a compendium of his stories and not the few in this book.

Purchasers can obtain the 43-page Kindle book "O. Henry Short Stories" for just fifty cents and enjoy five stories from one of America's great short story writers, O. Henry (1862-1910), who died at age 47. They will enjoy the book for about one cent a page.

The book was given as a gift to a friend of mine so he could read the stories contained therein to both hid children and grandchildren He thought the gift was perfect for teaching life lessons

Great writing by the master of short stories. He is the stuff of legends in Austin, Texas where I live. So did he.
