I stumbled on grape seed extract when I went searching for an answer to my itchy weepy ears. After wading through hundreds of web pages and comments someone suggested grape seed extract as a potential solution. I hit the pharmacy and bought a bottle, and much to my delight achieved relief for the first time in years. In addition to the wet itchy ear relief, I have found that some psoriasis issues that I was experiencing were significantly diminished as well. The only problem that I experienced was that my regular pharmacies and stores did not often stock GSE and even the local health/nutrition stores like GNC were spotty at best(and obscenely over priced I might add)so I turned to Amazon hoping for a good option.I have ordered the 400mg Olympic Labs GSE 3 times now and have been very satisfied with the product and with the vendors who shipped them. The higher dosage means that I only need 1 pill a day (if that) to maintain clear skin and dry ears, where I was taking 2 pills twice a day with some other brands and dosages. I have found the GSE to be of good and consistent quality over the course of about 9 months of regular use. The OL GSE is by far the most economical of the offerings I have found on Amazon and the price here blows the retail stores out of the water.I have seen a couple comments here that point to difficulties with a couple vendors that made me think twice about choosing another product, but I haven't experienced any problems and have been nothing but pleased with my purchases. I can say with the confidence of a 3 time repeat customer that it is easy to highly recommend this product without reservation.The only caveat I would offer is to be careful that the item you put in your cart is exactly what you want to purchase, as I have noticed that the 100mg bottle is often sold on the same page at a very similar price as the 400mg.

The product is reliable, the ingredients are excellent, and the price is not expensive.

I had read an article that Grape Seed Extract may help fade melasma. I've had melasma on my face, brown patches on my forehead and cheeks, for over 15 years. I never leave the house without make-up/foundation. I've tried various hydroquinone fade creams, Retin A and other products attempting to get rid of the brown patches on my face (I have fair to medium skin). I use high SPF sunscreen religiously every day, winter and summer, but the brown patches still appear, and are always darker in the summer. I purchased this Grape Seed Extract at the beginning of the summer in hopes that it might help. I've been taking two capsules per day, for the past 5 months or so. At first I noticed that the brown patches didn't darken as they normally would during the summer. Eventually the melasma patches became paler, now the patches are the palest they have ever been in 15 years, much closer to my skin color. I can use much less make-up/foundation to even out the look of my skin. The only difference in my usual skin care routine has been taking two of these Grape Seed Extract capules every day for the past 5 months, I've gone through several bottles. I am quite convinced that my significantly improved skin tone is likely a result of taking the Grape Seen Extract. I've never written an Amazon review before, but I felt compelled to share my experience with fellow melasma sufferers.

I had to stop buying it because every bottle I bought had at least one busted capsule that would spew the contents all over the other capsules. So now I go with another brand. Probably a capsule quality control issue.

I have been taking GSE pretty regularly for about 3 years now. I swear by it for keeping myself well and will tell anyone who will listen what a great supplement it is. I have bought it from many places in strengths from 50mg (Target) - 50 caps for about $8 to 200mg (GNC) - 100 caps for about $20. This 400mg/100 cap bottle for less than $20 is a steal and I would buy it again and again. I have sent the link to friends and you should not hesitate if considering the purchase. I get sick in the winter about 50%+ less since I started taking GSE regularly. It really works and if I had to choose one supplement to take, it would be this one over the 10 or so others I take including the COQ10 which I also swear by. Love, love, love it, and can't say enough about being able to get such a high dose/qty at such a bargain.

I am usually a skeptic when it comes to supplements. Many (most?) are advertised as having great benefits, based on little more than opinion. Anti-oxidants are somewhat different as they have more of a basis in evidence-based medicine. In my case, I find that grape seed extract provides a couple of concrete benefits.First, and this is not something that I am bragging about, but it is all but impossible to get a hangover when taking this product on a daily basis. I have convinced 2 other people to use this product and they report the same results.Second, it does seem to help with allergies. Between taking grape seed extract and consuming fresh ginger on a daily basis, I have been able to dramatically reduce my Claritin-D consumption. Instead of taking it almost daily for most of the year, I can get away with taking it for 3-4 weeks at the height of allergy season.There are other benefits I read about - reduction of free radicals in the blood stream, reduction of inflammation, etc. I cannot personally attest to these benefits.I do recommend this product though based on what I have personally experienced
