Just what I needed and no longer weighed with SAND!!
I absolutely love it! It will defiantly serve it's purpose. I recently got into free motion embroidery and will be using a vintage Singer 15-88 treadle machine, so I bought this to help me sort and to have the embroidery thread easily available when I need to switch threads (color).A lot of the reviewers complained about sand leaking out of the base. The company was using small bags of sand to weigh down the base. I was happy that when I opened the box, there was no leaked sand. I opened up the base to replace the sand bags with pebbles, but to my surprise, there was no sand. The company is now using a solid block of plastic in both little compartments. It's great that the company listened to it's customers. It's mostly plastic, but it all seems like its built good, there were no sharp edges that would affect the thread and I received all the parts, nothing was missing. It actually came with a few extra parts.I saw several Identical stands but went with this one since it was the best priced, shipped from Amazon with a guarantee (return/refund), and it was Prim delivery.I highly recommend it.

I love my thread holder.
That there are some bolts and screws that show on the instructions and they aren’t there because it’s already been assembled on the threader. I thought I was missing them and I wasn’t.I love my thread holder.

Works great and solved my kinking issue!
It's amazing what it did for my BROTHER DREAM MACHINE, VM5100. I wanted to use metallic thread which we know can be a challenge. Putting my cone on the stand at an angle worked like a champ. I'll never embroider without it again!

Fabulous thread stand
I was a little concerned with reviews about the sand leaking from the base. I had a drop cloth out when I opened up the package, just in case I had loose sand. But no sand at all. It is really sturdy and well worth the money. I am trying to decide if I need one for two more for my other machines. I love having all the threads I need close at had when I start a design. Get it, you won't be sorry.

Not American Made
This is not made in America, it’s from China. If you need support the information is incorrect. It’s not see tech from Indiana.Good luck on getting parts.

A little sand in your coffee
Love the holder. When arrived I opened and started to assemble. The bag with the base was full of sand. Thought it had been returned and wasn't cleaned. Glad it was a gift to myself. I would have been embarrassed if it was for someone else.I With a little inspecting I found the sand is in little bags in the base as weights. I got out the packing tape and reinforced the bags put it back together. She's good to go. Other than the sand (can't have that on you work station) I love it. Makes multiple thread changes quick and easy.

Wonderful thread stand
I didn't have any of the sand issues mentioned by others. I was easy to put together and gives plenty of options for personalization.

Yep, there is sand…
I’m glad I read the reviews before I ordered. I was hoping for none, but did in fact, receive loose sand in the packaging. I was prepared and took the time to carefully unpack, remove the plates underneath the base and tape the small holes in the bags of sand and seashells. Not a biggie, added less than 10 minutes to the entire assembly. It certainly wasn’t a show stopper for me. I have not used the stand yet, but anything to eliminate the constant removal and insertion of spools of thread in my machine is worth a little sand. And anyway, it’s January in northern Pennsylvania - can’t say I’ve ever played with sand at this time of year without the risk of frostbite. So, it’s a bonus, really… :)
