Let me preface by saying that this bag is NOT for everyone… Okay, so I’ve been looking for a bag like this since the moment I bought my first DSLR back in 2018. I’ve spent WAY too much time researching bags and they all came up as “not quite perfect”. Let me first explain what I was looking for… I’m in the military (stationed in Europe) so I travel a lot, and I needed a bag where I can safely store all my camera gear, drone, laptop, iPad, and accessories. And I wanted side access so I can get to my camera without opening the whole thing up, but still want the security of the rear zipper. Then on top of that I don’t want to have to deal with a separate bag for my clothes and such so I need it to fit 3-7 days worth of clothes too. Oh and I constantly find myself in crap weather so it needs to be water resistant (without having to fiddle with a rain cover), and it needs to fit in an overhead bin on an airplane. And on top of all of that, it needs to be comfy to wear. Cause I can’t stand lugging around uncomfortable backpacks. (First camera bag I bought in Korea taught me that lesson) Then along comes the PM Nomatic bag… and I swear it’s like it was made for me. Checks every single box on my list and then some. There’s creature comforts on this bag that I didn’t know I needed, but I love that they’re there and don’t want to deal with a bag that doesn’t have them now. With that being said, I think the purpose behind this bag is for traveling. I wouldn’t consider this a day pack to take hiking. It is BIG. By far the largest camera bag I’ve owned. And when you load this sucker up with gear, it can get real heavy too. I used this as a carry on when I deployed and I think it weighed 40 lbs when it was completely packed. But the suspension on it is great and I didn’t FEEL like I was lugging around a 40 lb backpack. Additionally, I loaded so much crap into it that I felt like Hermione loading up her magic purse. And yet it still fit in the overhead bin on the plane. The build quality on this bag is top notch. The materials feel wonderfully rugged on the outside and gentle but sturdy on the inside. On top of that it just looks good. It doesn’t scream, “Hey everyone look at me I’m a photographer!” It just looks like a normal travel bag. I thought about showing everything I stuffed into it when I deployed laid out on my bed next to the bag, but A) I don’t know if my queen sized bed is large enough and B) I just couldn’t be bothered. But trust me, it was a LOT. I will admit though that this backpack might be too large for small people. Not saying that women can’t use this bag, but if you have a small frame it may not be right for you. As a 6 foot tall 200 lb man this backpack fits me wonderfully. And I want to reiterate that this bag is for traveling, and is not a casual lightweight day bag. I was a bit hesitant originally about the $400 price tag for a backpack, but after receiving and using it I’m kicking myself for not ordering it sooner. It’s honestly the perfect bag for me. If you need a solid, large capacity, comfortable, multi day trip backpack then look no further. All the negative reviews are from people who are trying to use this bag for a purpose it wasn’t designed for. If you manage your expectations and actually NEED a bag that does everything this one can do, just pull the trigger. I am convinced it is the best camera backpack of its class on the market.

This is the camera bag to end all bags. With space not only for your camera gear but your 16" laptop, your 13" iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, hoodies, snacks, cables, glasses, accessories, and everything else that life demands that you have on your person. I have taken this to photo gigs, taken out the camera dividers to be used as a travel pack, and as my comuting back pack around the city. With endless organisation and customisation, there's almost nothing this backpack can't carry. The two seperate compartments for camera gear and just other things is rarley seen in camera bags. And if you're not a photographer, the camera compartment works well as an organised travel compartment for clothes or whatever else you may need. External straps and waterbottle holder allow for the external carry of a tripod or even gimbal. The only downside to this bag is that it is a big bag. A big bag for big adventures? Yes, but if you are a smaller in size human, then you may want to look somewhere else. However, the bag is massive because it can carry so much with you. So are you willing to sacrifce size and weight to carry more, or will you carry less in a smaller bag? For me, the bag is perfect and what I have been looking for all my life. I've been through a lot of camera bags wishing that they could hold the other bits and bops that we sometimes have to carry on us.
