My dog (American Pitbull) has severe dry skin. I used Licks for a long time and it worked wonders. I stopped using it because our local pet store stopped carrying it. I've tried EVERYTHING and nothing has worked. Ordered the Licks again and it has been such an improvement. No more flakes and constant scratching; and, her coat is back to being shinny and soft. Love this stuff!

I needed to give my dog something that could help him with dry, itchy skin, and alleviate any allergies he may have relating to his skin. I found this at Target so I tried it. He loves the taste! I add 1/2 packet to his food once a day, and this has made his coat so shiny and he is no longer itching. When I bathe him he doesn’t have dry, irritated skin anymore. This is a bit pricey, but I am so glad I found it on Amazon. This has been a quality product and it has made my dog so beautiful, shiny, and content.

My Bischon Had 3 weeks of no biting his legs or scratching and no new hot spots. Fourth week he got a new hot spot and scratched and licked it before I was aware of the condition. Also started licking and biting his hind leg again. But I will continue to use product as it did improve and lessen the constant chewing and kicking of his legs and scratching.

Our dog has a pretty bad skin reaction where he had dry skin, patches where hair had fallen out, and he was constantly scratching. Our vet gave us a few things to try, saying he could be allergic to something. We were looking in the pet store at different items that we might try, and decided to test this out. We've been using this now for two months. Our dogs patches are gone, and he is no longer scratching all the time. It works great for him. I'm glad we tried it.

This stuff STAINS like nothing I've ever seen! I didn't even think I got it on my hands, but both thumbs/nails turned yellow! It also stained the top of the cabinet I have all my dog stuff in. I can only imagine what it's doing to my dog's teeth if it stains everything else so badly. BEWARE

My 5 year old Pitbull, Jax, has severe skin allergies and we are unsure as to the cause. We've been through a lot of trial and error in the journey to finding out what he's allergic to, but in the mean time, we wanted to find a product that allowed him some relief, as he was itching so much and so often that he would make himself bleed.I used to work at a pet boutique store that was all about pet health/nutrition and we sold these there, however, I never tried them because they were a bit pricey for my budget. However, after exhausting many other options, I finally gave in and purchased it to give it a try.The box mentions you can give it two ways - either straight out of the packet, or mixed in with food. Since it wasn't meal time when it first came in, I decided to just open the packet and let him lick it. DON'T DO THIS. He went absolutely nuts over this stuff and was licking like a madman, causing drops of strong fish oil to fly all over everything as it all dripped down my hands and he proceeded to lick it all off of me. Unless you enjoy smelling like fish oil and getting nice and lathered in it, I'd suggest using the other method, which he was equally as thrilled with. Just note that this product's scent is EXTREMELY strong. I had to hold my breath whenever I opened a packet because it was so strong that it made me sick to my stomach (and I'm well aware of what fish oil smells like). That's not a deal-breaker or anything, as it's for the pup, but it's just something to be prepared for.Unfortunately, we gave this to him every morning for a month and never noticed any change in his itching whatsoever. I'm sure this product does work for some dogs, which is fantastic. However, it sadly did not work for us. I did not purchase another after the month was over.

I was a new dog owner when these were recommended to me by a friend, who had been using them for his dog's itchy skin. They worked for her, so I gave them a try. My dog's itchy reduced pretty quickly, and I noticed over time her hair becoming more healthy. My neighbor's dog had some hot spots as well, and I recommended these to her, and they worked well for her dog, too. I wouldn't recommend these as a cure-all for dogs that have pretty significant allergies or itching problems, but for just general, seasonal itchies, these work for us! (Sometimes, my dog wants to be picky about eating her veggies, and covering them in a packet of "gravy" does the trick, too.)

Bought this for my 11 year old Border Collie who had a rash and was shedding a little bit with the Florida heat. However, I had no trouble getting him to take the licks for skin and allergy but instead of preventing his shedding, his fur started coming out in clumps and even after stopping the heaving shedding continues. I had him on the licks for about 2 weeks before stopping. It doesn't look like his heavy shedding is going to stop anytime soon. Because of this our vet seems to think he should have further testing on his thyroid as the added vitamins may have been too much It also did not help his rash.

I gave it to my dog twice and he had 2 seizures and he never had them before
