Great helmet, but liked the Level better. Fit was smaller than Smith sizing guide suggested.
I bought both the Vantage and the Level helmet and tired them both given the overwhelming similarities. They were both extremely comfortable and offered very similar protection with MIPS. They both fit my Smith 4D goggles perfectly. The $50 incremental price for the Vantage just didn't see to make sense given the fit was similar. I also felt the Level had a little sleeker look to it. So, cooler looking helmet and $50 cheaper was a deal-maker for me. In terms of sizing, I ordered both helmets in L and XL. I measured my melon repeatedly and it was clear that I needed a L based on Smith's sizing guide. Well, the online reviews were all spot on in that both of these helmets ran small. I ended up with an XL in both helmets. The L helmets were fairly snug, and with the BOA Fit (Vantage) or VaporFit (Smith version of BOA on the Level) sizing dials, there is no need to buy a smaller helmet since the fit can be adjusted perfectly. Don't hesitate to buy this helmet, just order a size bigger than you think you'll need.

Comfortable, cool, and lightweight
I chose this helmet after trying on a bunch of different options including the OutdoorMaster Kelvin (~$35), the Giro Range ($260), Sandbox Legend ($100), Smith Mission ($160), and the Smith Holt ($60). Ultimately the Kelvin is probably enough for most people if you are only going out a few times a year but I wanted something a bit more advanced. It was well made and comfortable but super bulky. The Sandbox was surprisingly disappointing. It was my favorite design of the options and had multiple colors/patterns. That said, the padding was bare minimum, actually the worst out of all helmets. What a shame... The Giro Range was awesome and had a feature that none of the others did (magnetic chin strap lock). My problem was the shape. If my head shape worked with the Range I absolutely would have gone with it for that magnet lock and fitting system. This one pushed into my ears too much once it was fit to my head. The Smith Holt and Mission were pretty similar, mainly just aesthetic differences imo. The Mission is going to keep you cooler if you are skiing in warmer climates.

Runs small
Great ski helmet but they run small. I have a 60 cm head. Should be dead center of a Large. I initially ordered a Large but it barely fit. Subsequently bought this one in and XL and it fits perfectly. I would upsize 3cm if you are in this range.

A solid choice for a ski helmet
Bought this for a recent ski trip to Switzerland. I did have to send it back once and size up (from L to XL - I wear about a 7.5 baseball cap), but once I had the correct size, this helmet was fantastic. Do allow yourself extra time in case the size isn't what you expect. It was super comfortable, the vents cool the helmet well on warmer days, and slide shut when things get colder. The two separate vent adjustments are easily operated with gloved hands. The removable ear warmers keep everything toasty. The helmet is lightweight thanks to the Koroyd structure. My large Oakley goggles fit the face cutout perfectly. The only additional item I'd recommend is a head sock for the coldest of days or when blowing snow really kicks up. Helps cover your face and neck and any gaps between your goggles and the helmet, and was especially useful while skiing on an especially windy and stormy day.

Perfectd Helmet!! Comfortable and great features.
Vent system. Large and lots. Easy to control. Very comfortable. Nice padding in chin strap. Was very easy to adjust the sizing with the rear control. Got this for my wife, might be time to upgrade my helmet!

Sizes run small and better for round heads
I bought this helmet for the adjustable venting and large amount of venting, and ear covers that don't prevent you from hearing. I snowboard in Northern California where the weather is rarely below 30 degree F during the mid day. I have a oval head and it is snug pushing slightly on forehead, but not enough to be uncomfortable for 3 hours of wear. I normally wear a medium, but ended up with the large after trying the medium, which was too snug. Giro helmets fit me better than Smith, but I could not find a Giro that had the high amount of venting and with ear covers that did not block my hearing. I have 3 trips on this helmet and the venting works really well and I can hear fine. If the temperature is in the 20s F, I might have to wear a head covering under the helmet to keep my head comfortable. I recommend this helmet for people with round heads, who plan use it in a mid climate (above 20F), and that want ample adjustable venting. Its a good helmet, just not an optimal fit for my head shape.
