Shepherding a Child's Heart: Parent's Handbook

This workbook is so great! It’s not like others I have tried. It not only asks questions but in each chapter has verses for you too look up to gain more biblical insight on the topic. Love this!

A friend gave me the book Shepherding a Child's Heart when my first was born and it has been a source of wisdom for our parenting. This handbook goes along well with it. It isn't like a lot of handbooks where it just says the same things stated in the book. It actually goes more in depth and can be used a good bible study.

I first purchased this book years ago, and find myself referring to it over and over again, even though my children are now grown, with kids of their own. I have purchased many copies as gifts for others, and have recommended it to anyone having challenges with child-rearing. I appreciate the fact that it is based upon godly principles with lots of scriptural references. It has helped me raise six children who now also live by faith, as they also instruct their children in the ways of the Lord.

This is not a fillin book, but rather look and read the scripture for yourself, and then write meaning and or application . A great way to learn the Word of God.

this is an awesome Book! It teaches you fundamentals on how to guide your children to being well behaved along with you showing them that they need to listen to Mom and/or Dad! It also shows mom and dad how to come together as one while teaching the child the same thing!

This is a companion workbook. Super important to get the book first. I actually got this by mistake thinking it was the book itself. The book is outstanding and if you need a workbook this one has great questions.

This book is a lot more work than I intended for myself as grandfather. I have given the book to the kids parents.

I highly recommend this book to parents of children of any age. It explains a thoughtful, loving approaching to raising children. Please read all of this book with an open mind before passing judgment. To be effective at implementing this approach, a parent is going to have to be open to change, willing to go against the grain of current culture and be diligent. My bet is anyone willing to do so will be well-rewarded.

Questions to ponder and examples given make this book appreciable..Biblically based with references given..very easy to understand and relate to..

Would recommend this book as a must read for every parent and especially if you intend to bring your child up in the Christian faith.

Bought the book to read together with my wife in preparation for couples meeting. Great insights and I hope we had this before we had children and would highly recommend it for all God fearing couples
