This is a darling book
I’m excited to try these cute little artsy creatures! I love the ideas of making magnets with them. I think they’ll be fun for a girls night get together too. Very Clever! I bought both of Mr Emberley’s books.

Neat Idea for a Gift
I bought this for my niece's 5th birthday along with about 10 different colors of kid's washable stamp pads (from an education store and from a craft store). It is my understanding that some of the stamp pads used for "stamping" take awhile to dry and are permanent (not a good combo for kids--I could see them on the clothes and smudged across the paper) GET THE KIDS THE QUICK DRY WASHABLE KIND OF INK! Hampton Art made the kind I purchased. They also make a "smelly" version. Grape, bubble gum, etc. Though this would be a hit, I had a budget. Anyway, you want different colors of ink to make all of the different, fun characters. I put the pads in a box with a black liquid ink pen. She seemed very interested. Her mom thought it was neat and her other aunt who is a first grade teacher looked it over and asked where she could get one for her class. I wish I had this book when I was a kid. Very cool. I would say that this book could be for all ages but is most appropriate for elementary age children and younger.

Adorable
This book provides clear and easy to follow step-by-step directions for creating the artwork described, providing a simple craft that children can do without any additional support from others.

Sweet and clever ideas!
This book has some VERY cute and clever ideas. The instructions are simple, clear and easy to follow (hooray!)I had purchased this book to use for ideas involving my toddler and pre-schooler but they are a liiiiittle too complicated for that to work well...however for slightly older kids it would be GREAT!I discovered that washable markers applied directly to the thumbpad/fingerpad make one perfect print and then there is almost nothing left on the finger (so you don't 'find' finger prints on random surfaces around your house)...it leaves the print just where you want it on the paper but little mess to clean-up otherwise (hooray again!)Lots of cute creative ideas and I strongly recommend this book :D

Fabulous book!
I bought this for my 3 elementary-aged homeschooled kids. We love it! It gives clear enough directions (whether the kids can read or not) that they can do it all on their own. It shows how to make the designs step-by-step. There are tons of ideas in the book. These include how to make: animals, birds, silly faces, people, holiday themes, vehicles, clowns, dragons, lions, and more. I would probably buy it for any kid age 4 and up. I think this book, plus a couple stamp pads, would make a great gift for someone!

Simple and fun
Bought this as a gift for an art mad 7 year old boy and he loved it. Really simple to follow but the results are great. The book gives contains the instructions so the art can be replicated anywhere (you don't actually do the pictures in the book). I think this makes it last longer as children are more likely to revisit it than think they have 'done' the book. I'm looking to get my son some Ed's books too.

Bought this a while ago for my 20yr old Step Daughter and 15yr old Niece for an Easter present. They loved it and so did I, they wouldn't let me have a go....Kept them busy and stopped them from baking in the kitchen (kitchen stayed clean) YAY!!!Brilliant product would highly recommend.

Wonderful for creative kids
Love this book. Was gifted to my daughter for a 5th birthday and I have since gifted it several times, with the multi-coloured pad finger paints. Hours of fun (and I don't say that often about crafty books!)

Bit boring for young kids.
Didn't keep the kids attention as much as I would have liked. They just passed on the book quite quickly and were happier using the paints with paper.

Wasted money
Very disappointed. Thought you would be able to colour in with you own fingerprints instead it's all printed in all ready.
