This book is an utter treasure trove for the die-hards. The RPG material provides a lot of insight in the backgrounds of the main characters and overall universe of Moore's seminal work. It was produced with Moore's blessing and limited participation as well, so it could be considered canonical. It represents the bulk of the book and will be the main point of interest for most readers. The background material is very cool as well. The pre-production sketches and early promotional material provides an nice bit of historical context as well. The inclusion of an issue of "The Question" was a bit of a curiosity. It presents Watchmen as a work of fiction in the DCU and Vic Sage dreams about Rorschach in an extended cameo. If it were left out of the book, I doubt anyone would have protested. The unfortunate news about this product is the very cheap paper it was printed on. Just a step above newsprint, it's not even of the same quality as current comics. I suspect it was rushed to print in time for the conclusion of the HBO series and Doomsday Clock. It's a real disappointment at this price point. I would absolutely recommend this to readers familiar with the original work, just take care not to rip the flimsy pages.
