An affordable & practical solution for cameras in our office.Having years of experience with CCTV/IP-WAN based surveillance systems I thought it would be a breeze to setup but actually it was a bit of a challenge because it uses a proprietary "Cloud-Based" protocol, local AV Management software & online viewing software for cell phones that I wasn't very familiar with. I'm certain if I played around with it I could probably configure it for standard DNS access, Port forwarding, etc. and use other types of cam viewers on my phone, like we have setup with other systems.When I called tech support I received a prompt reply and they helped me with some minor setup issues I had in the beginning, so A++ for excellent support. I also asked about some GUI-OSD questions, unfortunately I guess he just didn't know because he said it couldn't be done with that system.. however, I'm persistent so after playing around with it I got it to work exactly as I wanted ans therefore I don't really consider this a negative for tech support at all.Now that we've had this system for a while, here's something that I feel is critically important:With our other standard IP/DNS systems for remote Web/Phone viewing we have been having MAJOR hassles with our ISP sending us emails saying that some device on our network (the DVR of course) was being hacked and used for DOS attacks on other computers and so forth, to the point where even after beefing up passwords & other access protocols we still have to take the system offline constantly to minimize these issues. With this cloud-based system & strict access protocols it is apparently highly secure and so far that is no longer a problem, we haven't had a single hassle with our ISP.As such, I believe this is probably the best way to setup a system for remote control & viewing.In conclusion; Highly recommended from every aspect, it's cost-effective and has proven to be a reliable device that is feature rich and has worked perfectly so far.

Pretty nice. This is 1080P, it is easy to set up and image quality is good. You will definitely want to upgrade the storage. It will take up to 6TB so you'll want to do that immediately, as 1TB will run out pretty fast. Even 6TB won't be as much as you think. Overall, though, this is a pretty great product. Customer service is pretty good too.

Could not ask for better service from this seller. Will definitely deal with this seller in the future. Very knowledgeable about the product and responds quickly to my questions. Everything worked great with my old cameras. Pretty good image and easy to set up.

The cameras hooked up and worked with little effort. As a stand alone unit it is fine.Over the network things went well too, right up until the installation of the plugin to allow viewing any video over the network. The installation goes without any apparent problem but it never stops telling me to install the plugin when I should be able to view after the installation is complete.Renders the unit rather pointless. I'm not too shook up about it though. I'll just buy a different unit from some other vendor.

This is an awesome surveillance system. Talked to tech support and they walked me thru it. The set up was easy and customer service answered immediately which is great. Good clear picture.

I had the recorder working within an hour of opening the box. The setup was extremely simple. I am only using the iOS app and not a computer so I can't comment on the pc setup but the app was straight forward.

The easiest DVR to ever setup. Almost plug and play. Worth the price.

We bought this for my parents. It was able 6 months ago, and the DVR is still running very well. The pictures are very good. Their tech support person had been very patient and answered all the questions, and helped us to connect our DVR to our cell phone and computer. This is a good security system for your need.
