It is very dim when ran on battery and yes they were fuller charged. I'm not sure if I just got a dud or what but thankfully it is plenty bright when powered via USB though. I have similar products and they are the same brightness on battery as they are USB so I'm not sure what's going on. Honestly I'd prefer it just didn't even have that bulky battery case on it since it doesn't work right. Again I could have just gotten a dud who knows, I'm not going to bother replacing it to find out considering the price and since it does works via USB. It is a neat design though and if you are just going to power it via USB then I'd buy it since it won't matter if there is an issue with the battery compartment.

It’s bright when it’s plugged in with the usb but with batteries it’s dull and drains them quickly. I wish the cord was longer and that it wasn’t just a usb plug option.

My daughter loved it! But it started shorting out and then will not turn on. Tried different batteries, plugs, nothing works.

Very cute light and fits perfectly above my desk. It’s a little smaller than I thought but it easy to set up and stays bright even after a long time of use.
