My advice .... Don't.
The concept behind this system is good, but its execution and design is, in my experience, terrible. I have wrestled for two days with the assistance of Airthings support but in the end I have given up and am returning it.Before I explain let me reassure you that I am sufficiently tech-savvy to know what I'm doing. I am recently retired from the IT industry where I had been since 1979 and I have several computer systems in my home, including a media server and a NAS. I also have four hub-based home automation installations, which I implemented myself. I'm telling you this because very often one reads negative reviews on Amazon and rolls his eyes and thinks that the reviewer is an octogenarian whose last brush with technology was wiring a three-pin plug.Initial set up of this system goes swimmingly well. You install the app and then connect to the devices via Bluetooth. But in order to be able to monitor these devices remotely you then have to connect them to the hub, and that's where the ordure hits the ventilation system.I first realised that I hadn't successfully registered the devices with the hub when I kept seeing one of them constantly failing to sync. The instructions don't make it clear that there's a signal strength symbol on the app that shows that the devices are connected to the hub (a symbol that I have never seen). You think they are connected to the hub, but they're still talking to your phone via Bluetooth.I had wrongly assumed all was well because I tested it by turning off WiFi on the phone and using the mobile network data. It looked to be working but i was still using Bluetooth and was unaware of it. But get this: the Bluetooth connection list on the phone settings page doesn't list these devices at any time, even though they're communicating through it. Who thought of that? The support people at Airthings are very helpful and patient, but in the end, after two days, i have given up.In my opinion this system is over-engineered and ill-thought-out. It was clearly designed by IT people, who gave no thought to the 'user experience' as the Americans call it. I was advised to de-register the devices (they weren't registered), register them (it wasn't possible because the app couldn't see them), take out batteries, replace batteries ... everything except stand on one leg and sing the National Anthem backwards.Compare this with Philips Hue. With that system you press a button in the middle of the hub and it searches for all devices and registers them. That's it! And from then on you can access everything from anywhere in the world. My four hub-based systems work perfectly and were easy to set up. Airthings may work perfectly when it's set up (though I have my doubts since one device kept disconnecting) but I'm not prepared to take the chance because once the warranty is expired I'm left high and dry.So, by all means buy this, but test it thoroughly and do so by switching off Bluetooth and WiFi and try accessing the hub and devices by the mobile data network alone.

Helped detect extremely high levels of Radon
Purchased in May 2023 after I spent about a full month of being sick. We were concerned we had mold issues, but this system told us it wasn't. However, when we first hooked everything up, it detected Radon levels of 10.0 pCi/l +, and the EPA recommended safe levels are below 2.0. We decided to get a Radon Mitigation system installed, and now thankfully our levels are .5 pCi/l. Thankful for this system that continuously monitors the air quality for VoC's, Mold, and Radon. It helps give me piece of mind my family is safe.

Effective tester, easy to use, easy to setup and good product support
First off, if you work, play or live in the lowest level of your home, you have to test for Radon continuously. It shouldn't be a one and done like almost everyone does. This is my second purchase of an Airthings device and I couldn't be more happier. I purchased a Corentium around Sept 2020 and found for 2 months that my Radon levels were low and then late Fall hit and the house was closed up with the heat on, my levels went incredibly high and stayed that way until a mitigation system was installed. After the mitigation was installed I purchased this more complete system to monitor my radon levels in my lower level, which is where exercise equipment is located, the home office and a play room for children. The wave mini is used in the upper level of the home where mold and voc's are important for sleeping safety. The data collection and output has been phenomenal and has allowed me to to analyze how factors like windows being open or candles being burned or in one case some varnish being applied can effect the air quality. Both devices were easy to set up and pair with my iphone and network router.Airthings has continually upgraded and added to the functionality of their iphone App which has been great as I love Data and they continually have improved the UI of the app.I want to conclude that if you exercise in your lowest level in your home you really should have a constant monitoring of the air quality. A higher level of respiration in bad air may create complications to your life which you previously didn't even know. I realized once I purchased this that spending a couple hundred of dollars after spending thousands of dollars on exercise equipment is a cheap ROI for overall health.

Dai, inconcepibile.
