Kalmbach Feeds All Natural Layer Pellet, 50 Lb

Good in-good out. Everyone has commented on the richness of the egg yolks. My ladies love it, and I am indeed using less feed. Nobody around me carries this, so thanks, Amazon!

Chickens didn't really like it at first so I mixed my old stuff and it went well

It's expensive, especially for just being corn and vitamins, but it's a decent pellet. My chickens don't like it as much as the fish-based mix I can get locally for $13, but they like it a lot better than the "crumble" (all powder) that is the only other food I can have shipped here. I'm probably going to end up mixing this and the cheap crumble until I have a vehicle for getting the 20 miles to the feed store again.

I was in a pinch and with everything going on, was getting low on chicken feed and needed more soon, so decided to order some off of amazon. The chickens seemed to love it but cannot say it was really any better or worse than what I'd normally buy at my local farm store.

This is about twice as much as the feed at my local feed store. However, it does at least come straight to my door, which is good. Sometimes, it's worth not having to hassle with that.I don't think my chickens like it as much as the stuff I can get locally. Their egg production seems to be about half of what I'd expect. But I can't tell if that's because they're molting or what. I'm going to let them go through one more bag before I give up and start hauling feed from the feed store again.

This was the first time purchasing this product. Usually we get Livengood out of Lockhart. I don't know if this is usual, but the feed smelled sour. It looked normal but smelled like sourdough bread. The chickens don't really like it. They are eating it because that is the only choice right now, but definitely not with the same enthusiasm they eat the Livengood pellets. Also, 24 hours after I started this bag of feed, two of my chickens laid weird soft shell eggs. It was like they only had a membrane and no shell.

They must be good tasting cuz my birds really like them and I'm feeding them good food.

Good buy if you don’t wanna take a trip to the feed store and lug those huge bags around! Make the delivery boy do it!
