Fantastic!
Does exactly what was advertised. There is a spare scratching post, for when it wears out. It is extremely stable, as you only connect two of the three posts sent-the third is a spare. My cats LOVE the marbles-they try really hard to get them out of the circles and enjoy sending them spinning around the wooden base.Brilliant toy/scratch post-fabulous value for money and really easy to put together.

base doesnt support the item
Though I was absolutely delighted with the height of the scratching post, the base was not strong enough to handle it and it moved around and fell over a number of times. The cats used it initially but because it kept slipping on the floor with their weight (2 are full grown and 2 are kittens), they lost interest.

Perfect scratch post for a cat
Very good and sturdy scratch post. The best part is that it comes with a spare scratch post. Also easy to assemble and come with the necessary tools.

Overall good buy
Product shipped very promptly. It has a scratching section plus a replacement for it when it wears out. The attached mouse toy on an elastic is nice, although one cat seems more interested in chewing through the elastic. We found that it does need the slip pads attached to the bottom or it will slide around.I will mention the picture shows a cat hanging on it but I think they are picturing a kitten as it is not that tall. However our 17 lb cat has no problem using it.July 12/21 - Our 2 cats have destroyed both rope parts. This is no problem but it would be nice if you could order just the rope part, in say a 4 pack, so we don't keep having to buy the base. Just a thought

Great
Love the look and easy to assemble. Kitty likes it too! It came with a replacement post but I stacked them together to make a taller post. I used both balls also, cause double the toy factor.

Not suitable for cats
Not sturdy and my cat gives no mind to this thing. She barely looks at it. Doesn't care if there is cat nip on it. My cat does not even entertain the idea of using this. I feel like the photo advertising this scratching post ( cat climbing it) is a total misrepresentation. This thing is not sturdy enough to handle a cats weight. There is no way my cat would be able to climb this thing without it falling. My cat gets very aggressive when she scratches so this just doesn't work for us.

Quite innovative design
The parts fitted just right and the post was very stable! I completely didn't notice what the "additional entertainment" meant in the photo description, but it turned out that the two circles on the base are two tracks each containing a glass ball, which was a nice surprise. It's funny how my cat decided to mainly focus on these two balls his chubby paws can't reach, instead of the scratching post itself!

My cat new favorite toy
My cat loves it!! And he especially loves the marble!! I originally bought it for the scratching pole and the half & half with carpet (which he does use a lot) but he is truly in love with those two little marbles! His paw is too big to fit in the crack but he still tries his best to make it roll around. Most of the time he meows at us to go play with him and makes the marble roll so he can try to stop it/catch it. I also want to point out that the only way for him to get the marble out would be to chew the base, which would be a difficult task to do. It is made of solid wood. My cat doesn't chew random stuff but might be worth keeping an eye out of your cat does. Also, when he uses the scratching post, it does tilt on the side sometimes but so far has never fallen on its side. I found it pretty sturdy.
