We installed it at the bottom of a French Door, drilled a hole for the receiver to lock the door in the fixed position. The other door leaf now works perfectly to keep the doors closed.

I just wanted a bolt lock to use on an inside door of the chicken coop, something that wouldn’t rust with time. This bolt lock has a quality feel of days long ago, a technology I thought was lost with time. No light flimsy fake brass plating but a solid, smooth working piece of hardware. Well done.
