Chalk isn't intended to prevent calluses. The purpose of chalk is to help prevent your grip from slipping. Calluses are a good thing as long as you don't let them get thick (they'll rip off and bleed), but they're the body's way of forming a natural cushion. If you don't want calluses, you need lifting straps or gloves, if you just want them for pull-ups, I suggest gloves.

Q: Is this tested for lead content?

Is there a reason you might suspect that it contains lead? I've never heard of chalk being contaminated with lead before

Q: can I use it to play billiar pool?

This more to chalk your hands for gymnastics or working out. Probably not for pool
