== WARNING TO ALL == CHECK THE DESIGN OF THE FUSE BLOCK AND NOT JUST THE FUSE TYPE
I bought this to tap into my brand new 2014 F150's fuse block to power the Bully Dog GT I bought from Amazon. Since my truck's fuse block is all ATT type fuses I figured this was the right match. At no fault of the tap it did not fit into the fuse block :-(. The problem is the design of the Ford's fuse block; it sets the ATT fuses deep into the fuse block. There is a bit of a shoulder around the fuse which kept this ATT fuse tap from even reaching the power terminals, useless. The problem was I was hitting the road in a couple of days and I waited a week and a half for the tap to arrive and it did not work and my brand new truck was half torn apart and the Bully Dog was not working unless you reached though the knee bolster opening under the steering wheel and turned it on and as needed. The idea... I compared the ATT type fuses from the truck with some ATM type fuses I had on hand. Long story short("ened"). The ATM type fuses simply have longer blades that and not have a plastic bridge between them like the ATT type fuses and I was able to plug a ATM type fuse into the fuse block... there's nothing in the manual about this, just a discovery of mine. Fortunately the ATM type fuse taps are available at my local auto parts store which of course I test fitted in the fuse block and checked with a test light before I connected the pigtail to the Bully Dog which I had not done with the ATT type fuse tap. It has worked just fine since. Conclusion: you may need to use the ATM type fuse tap in a ATT type fuse slot because of the longer blades.

Great but not perfect, pleased I got them!
Always a good thing to install to tap a circuit, i usually use them for Valentine Radar hardwire installs etc. the only issue i have is the prongs themselves on this unit is abit on the thin side. So the plug is used to having a fuse in it "pinching" the fuse blades. when you remove the fuse, fuse installed into tap, goto plug the tap into the circuit break it almost wants to fall out. (in my case the fuse tapper is up under the dash so gravity is working against you. i "splayed" the prongs (with prongs facing you left to right, i slightly bent one up and the other down so they were not "even". not too far that you couldn't plug it in bet,, enough to cause tension. no issues in 3 months of install 2 vehicles. Unit itself is otherwise, well built. Looks good too rather than to 'ol twist a wire on one side of the fuse and Jam it in there technique!!05/20/22 still going strong did no loose themselves!

Used to install Mobius Dash Cam
I bought this to install a Mobius dash cam into my 2012 Prius, which uses low profile fuses. The construction is sturdy, the wire is thick (16-18 gauge ish) and the ease of plugging it into the fuse slot went smoothly.A big complaint is that the supplied fuse is cheap; I needed to remove it from the fuse tap and when I pulled the only thing that came out was the yellow plastic housing; the actual fuse legs and fuse were left inside the fuse tap. Finding a 5 amp low profile fuse locally is impossible so I had to install the 7.5amp bought from my local auto parts store.I also don't like the butt connector, but that's just personal preference of wanting to use male/female connectors and it was easily clipped off. It's definitely serving it's purpose and I prefer this install vs. the make shift fuse tap. I just wasn't happy about having to buy a $5 pack of fuse. Would still purchase in the future, but will get my ducks in a row before installing the fuse as to avoid having to remove it.

Check the end of this before you buy. The black piece of plastic is not removable.
Quality is good but this was not what we needed.Hubby asked me to buy him a mini fuse tap that would accept a 15 amp fuse.We looked at this design and also this item ATM Add-A-Circuit (same function as Bussmann BP/HHH), ATM Fuse Tap and this design.Notice the design of the plug I'm writing my review for has a black plastic piece in between then 2 blades. The black piece of plastic is not removable. This is not the design we wanted and it's totally my fault that I did not notice this. So I'm writing my review based on the quality of the product and price point which is good. This did not work for our application (wiring a edge unit in our Dodge).I'm hoping to save someone the time and expense of ordering the wrong item.I purchased this at full price. My opinions are my own and I was not compensated in any way for my thoughts.

Helped me install LED daytime running lights: FRS/BRZ
I recently got some LED daytime running light bezels for my Scion FRS (BRZ twin). The instructions are pretty bad for the LEDs but after online research, I discovered that (1) my FRS use low profile mini fuses, and (2) there was a 12v ACC fuse that I can tap with this add a circuit. I was able to plug this in the IG2 fuse. You'll have to plug the original fuse into the side of this tap closest to the metal prongs. Then plug the included new fuse closest to the wire and you're set. I had to cut a hole in my fuse box for this to fit though. Overall, got this DIY job done thanks to this. Alternatively I would have had to splice wires or run wires through the firewall into the cabin to tap a 12v car charger wire. This, add a circuit is safer and easier than they latter option.

Not all fuse taps are the same
Used some generic? fuse taps for a somewhat complex project. Being my first ever automotive electrical project, I didn’t know much. After a year, the original taps were falling out because they weren’t actually seated well enough. Got a tip on this specific brand of fuse tap from a Kia Forum. Comparing the original taps, with the Lumision taps, you can see the blades are just a bit longer, and the plastic is just a little better in terms of precision. I replaced two taps, and they seated perfectly. SNUG. Two thumbs up!

Worked well - used it to hard wire a dash cam. Only (slight) drawback was that inserting the fuse was pretty difficult as it bound on the contacts no matter how I angled it. Not a big deal - put a tiny dot of grease on the tip of each blade and used linesman pliers to press it in. FWIW, the mini fuse from my truck had no such issue, so it may be more about the supplied fuse than the holder itself. Again, not a concern - the holder works quite well. Would definitely buy again.
