First of all, KUDOS TO THE DELIVERY GUY!!! If by any chance you can read this, thanks for dropping this off at my front door, this bulky, weight-like-an-elephant package, when it was pouring outside. I was so expected this to come when I see the "Out to delivered" notification, but I felt a bit guilty when it came and it was raining so hard outside.Second, Homestar did a great job in getting this to me LIGHTNING fast. The initial expected date was over a week away from my order date, but the desk arrived within 3 days of order. I'm impressed!!! Highly recommend this seller.Third (and final for now), the ease of putting this piece together, and how sturdy the desk and bookcase feel, are amazing. The colour is very nice and neutral, fitting right in my bedroom where I put both of them. I find the height of the table is just right for a 5'9" guy like myself.Overall, my rating reflect my current feeling of this purchase. Keep it up!!!

Word of note: When I purchased this a couple years ago it was around 100 bucks, so I'd look to see if there are other desks at this new higher price point if I were purchasing again today. That said...I really think this is a well designed desk. The majority of the fasteners work by screwing into a barrel nut instead of the particle board, which is very clever. The desk and shelves all feel super sturdy and I've always felt comfortable that they will support my items just fine, never felt any wobble. The desk itself has a nice curved inlet for passing wires which is a very nice touch, and I am using the shelves as a completely stand-alone piece of furniture in a separate part of the house. All around great product and great bargain (at the previous price point).

This arrived earlier than expected which was awesome number1. The box was pretty beat up when it arrived, for me, but when I opened it up, everything was so well packed that not even a scratch was on any of it.Warning: box is heavy haha.So the "wood" actually feels really good and solid and heavy. It is like a laminate over that..brain block on what that "wood" is actually called, but it feels and looks like great quality so that I loved.Assembly was not that bad. I'm a 5'9 w7 year old woman who is semi handy and while watching the shallows was able to put it together in less time than the movie, only having to undo two different pieces because I put them in backwards. After it was out together, it was super sturdy, and again, I can't stress how solid this feels.I love how it looks, love how it feels, love how simple putting it together was, and love using it. The shelving unit is shorter than I expected but hey, that's my bad for not measuring height. Either way, Love love loooooove it. I attached photos of the pieces and than the aftermath. Enjoy!

one of the pieces for the shelf part was drilled wrong so it broke as we were trying to put it together. My husband was able to glue it back together so I can still use the shelves. Otherwise it is exactly what I wanted. Love the color. Not fond of the hardware that holds it together as it has the weird little bolt holders that sit in the wood and you screw the bolts into them.

Exactly what I was looking for. Put it together myself, a lil time consuming but easy to assemble with the included instructions and pieces. It says you need a screwdriver but you don't. The allen wrench it comes with does the job. Fits perfectly in my apartment, makes a perfect little office space for my schooling. I love how it came with both the desk and bookshelf, I definitely recommend this product!

This desk is very sturdy and was easy to put together. My 14 year old daughter put it together (with a little help from me) in about and hour and a half. No words in the instructions so once we got our bearings with the pictures it went fine. There was just one hole that wasn't properly drilled so my husband used a little too much force and split the wood on one shelf, but it was in the back and easily glued down so it is not noticeable.

The media could not be loaded.  We were super excited to get this desk! There were no issues with shipping or receiving it in one piece, which was exciting since I work for the postal service I see a lot of damaged items. There are some serious issues though that if you aren’t careful you will get broken pieces like we did. First, the screws come with lock tight on them, great who doesn’t love to know their stuff is safe? Problem! You can’t get them through the bolt pieces and it ends up turning the whole piece and ruining your wood (see picture and video). Take the time to take the lock tight off the screws. It will save you! And if you use power tools, be extra careful… made that mistake. Second, the screws are longer then the holes provided, and since the screws have a flat bottom they have no where to go, except to ruin your desk, stick out, not get tight, and you end up with an unsteady desk and shelf. This wasn’t just a problem with one screw or one board, it was multiple. And thanks to the lock tight I can’t take it apart without breaking everything to return it. Third, the assembly of the products would have been extremely easy if I would have thought to remove the lock tight but since it was on there my hands ended up going numb thanks to the tiny Allen wrench that was included, and after my first mishap I chose not to go back to the power tool. The desk itself is pretty sturdy. One of the shelves is wobbly due to not being able to tighten the screw all the way without breaking more of the shelf but the desk itself is pretty sturdy with it like that.I’m not generally one to complain but if we are spending this type of money on a desk I would hope that I could at least get it built without if breaking into pieces. Maybe I’m just the lucky one that had some issues or maybe multiple people have had this issue but I figured I would share just in case. The desk and shelf are beautiful! I’m excited to use them the best I can but I just wanted to let people know the issues we had.So please do yourself a favor and clean off the lock tight and make sure your holes are clear of left over saw dust before you start!!

Technically one person can put these sets together; it just takes longer. ;) The assembly is fairly straightforward; however, I wish for the instructions for the desk it had a side a or b label for certain parts. Still, it's easy to figure out. The desk looks nice and is sturdy. I actually like the refurbished wood. The separate shelf is small but cute. It's great for a few books and small totes and decorative boxes. I'd say it's all definitely worth the money.

This desk and shelf were the perfect addition to my room the stain of the wood compliments my walls perfectly. I did have some issues with the item being delivered to a completely different city, but I won't take that away from the quality of the products. I will note that UPS stepped on my box probably because they were upset they had to retrieve my item from the wrong address.

Great quality desk, took 30 minutes to put together. Rabbit loved the box.
